This is one of the best small hotels in terms of attention to detail. Our room was a comfortable size with a king size bed and quality linen and pillows guaranteeing a good nights sleep. The cupboard hanging space had a his and hers area and the bathroom shower and toilet area was also great but only one person at a time. The room has a good sized fridge with a host of nibbles and drinks available free of charge. There is a large flat screen TV and an excellent AC system to keep you comfortable all the time. The lift system was fast and efficient so no waiting around in the lobby or on your floor. The best part of the hotel was the dining and bar area where the staff were attentive and keen to make sure you're happy. It was always service with a smile. The modern Indian cuisine was an absolute delight (both for breakfast and dinner) with enough variation to keep you coming back for more. We found that after a busy day sight seeing we could head back to the bar area for happy hour where there more free drinks (red, white and beer) and snacks. The location of the Ovolo Central is perfect with really easy access to cabs at the front door or a 15 minute walk to central and the MTR rail network and ferries. The mid levels escalator was 5 minutes away which was perfect for us as we had rain every day but it was still so easy to get about. The location is handy to all the night life attractions, bars , restaurants, coffee and foot massage for weary feet! Both my wife and I really enjoyed our stay and would particularly like to commend the staff we met each day for their helpfulness and attention. Have to say Ovolo Central exceeded my expectations. I stayed here with my husband and his work colleagues. During the day I was left to my own devices whilst my husband went to the office, which meant having to eat breakfast by myself, I certainly was not alone, the reception/serving staff were always on hand, for 5 mornings they greeted me with a sunny smile to start my day. Some days I would return to sit on the comfy sofa and read my book for hours and they were always attentive with making sure my glass was always topped up with water. The rooms were kept clean and smelling fresh by the housekeeping staff on a daily basis, again always with a smile when you saw them. The hotel offers a self service laundry which I made full use off during my stay. Adrian the general manager was second to none, always on hand whenever the need arose, he helped me with suggestions for places to visit during the day. I've stayed at the Ovolo Central Hotel in Hong Kong several times and will continue to stay there when I visit. It is a great location in Central - a short 10-minute (uphill, be warned) walk from the Central MTR station, easy walking distance to LKF and the Central scene, but also not impacted by the late-night noises accompanying it. The rooms are spacious, updated, and clean and the hotel staff has been top-notch on all my visits. I am somewhat price-sensitive and Ovolo Central is routinely the best value for the money. Finally, Veda downstairs is a great spot for breakfast and happy hour drinks!

The quality of the room was very nice. It was clean, neat and comfortable. It felt like a second home. It's located in the central are of Hong Kong and close by many restaurants and bars. The room walls did a great job in diminishing the loud noise on that weekend, which meant I was sound asleep. The other more pricey rooms look really nice but I was fortunate to have had a great deal for 2 nights. The room also included drinks in the fridge and snacks.

If you arrive in the morning on your first visit, you may be disappointed by the somewhat drab appearance of the precinct surrounding the Ovolo. Two things will quickly change that: 1. The hotel itself - staffed by very friendly and helpful people; then the room, which we found to be well-appointed, very clean and surprisingly quiet. The adjoining Veda Restaurant was also a revelation, offering Indian Vegetarian cuisine. (Note from one meat lover to others: the flavours and textures more than compensate for the lack of meat protein!) 2. The surrounding precinct - which comes more to life in the afternoon but really hits its stride in the evening when it comes alight and abuzz with many cafes, clubs, pubs and restaurants! Generally speaking, the location of the Ovolo Central is ideal in being reasonably close to staging points (eg Central Metro, Hong Kong Station, Ferry wharves, the Peak Tram) for most of the attractions that Hong Kong has to offer. Although steps and sloping, narrow footpaths near the hotel might be a bit of a challenge for walking, the bus route outside the hotel or the plentiful and inexpensive taxis will get you where you want to be. We immensely enjoyed our stay at the Ovolo Central!

Staff - nice, patient and speedy with your requests and communication.
Food - I'm not a picky eater, but the food is not good. They are over reliant on mayonnaise in all their salads or bowls. There is no quality or consistency. Day 2 breakfast arrives and there was this small one inch triangle that looked like a flattened, burnt hashbrown. I ate it because I'll try anything. I discovered it was a broken bit of cookie, they seemed to have lost the rest of it. To be fair, it was fine and every other day the whole cookie arrived. I ordered mushroom curry another day and it was all sauce, some peas and I counted 5 quarters of mushroom. I ordered avocado and toast another day, I got the second last slice of bread in the loaf, not the end piece but quite tiny. I would have taken pictures if I knew I could rate them after my stay. Happy hour? Manage your expectations, it's not very good quality alcohol and served in plastic cups. It's sad because I like their Mexican restaurant in Sheung Wan and I expected more...and was wrong to.
Room - a lot of wear and tear. There was water damage, a lot of stains, scuffs and marks on walls, floor and ceiling. Sink and showers didn't drain properly. Day 2 the shower flooded (explains the water damage and stains on the carpet) and from then on I used only "half pressure" of water and turned it off when shampooing and on again to rinse to allow water to drain. It's probably because they didn't properly clean them after so many occupants staying in the room. I imagine other occupants cleaned dishes and who knows what kinda of refuse has been flushed down those drains when they are not equipped for it.
So, no, I would not recommend the Ovolo, at least not the Central location

My partner and I are currently staying at Ovolo Central for our mandatory 14 days of Quarantine. So far we have experienced nothing but the most friendly and attentive service; with staff following up water for the room, mini fridge replenishments, Nespresso pod refills, meal deliveries and much more in a matter of minutes after each request.
The service team make sure to introduce themselves each day via WhatsApp, Sonesh, the GM also made sure to acquaint himself and ensure we were having a comfortable stay. The marketing team have sent Christmas gifts and surprises in the leading days up to the 25th, including puzzles, gingerbread and little treats.
On top of this: my partner and I celebrated our anniversary in quarantine yesterday and upon asking for a table and chairs to enjoy a nice lunch, we were surprised kindly by the team with a beautiful, romantic setup (See pictures). Sonesh (again going the extra mile) also gave us a beautiful bottle of Italian wine, later to be followed up by a sparkling wine- much to our surprise. This kind and thoughtful gesture made our day on top of what is already an outstanding stay.
It it clear that aside from the hotel itself boasting: big white fluffy towels, a spacious room with modern decor, rain shower, Nespresso machine, storage spaces for luggage with room to hang and fold clothes out of sight; the team behind the scenes work tirelessly to ensure each guest has a stay above and beyond expectations, rivalling their competitors.
I think if the government suddenly changed the laws and told us we could leave quarantine tomorrow, I would not be ready to leave yet! I mean come on... 5pm happy hour at the door each evening with a delicious, healthy Brekky each morning - I’m not passing that up anytime soon!
Looking forward to the rest of our stay and staying with Ovolo Hotels in the future. They have a dedication to providing exceptional service, (even to us in quarantine) and they clearly hire their staff based on being able to provide and deliver this to their clientele.

The receptionists are helpful and friendly, shoutout to Ankit who has been extremely helpful to settle me in on my first day and for helping me to get a cab on my last day to HK station. I chose to stay at the Ovolo Central (again) but this time for my 2-week quarantine stay when I returned to HK in May 2020.
I wanted to know that if I was going to spend 2 weeks in confinement, I knew exactly what to expect (from previous visits) and I was not disappointed.
The staff were super attentive and went well out of their way to make sure my stay was comfortable even offering to put a pair of dumbbells in my room so I could work out.
My room was cleaned 3 times a week during the q stay and fresh towels were available daily if I needed them
I booked directly so my breakfast was included along with my mini car which was replenished generously and daily. The breakfast is highly recommended along with the coffee.
My stay also had 7 lunches or dinners included which I thought was handy but I didn't enjoy the menu items that much. There wasn't anything wrong with the food, it simply wasn't food that I would eat regularly and therefore I found the choice of restaurants available on the usual Deliveroo, Food Panda and Uber Eats much more to my liking. The hotel will deliver any items outside your door and make sure any used items are taken away quickly.
Please be mindful there is a popular club right near the hotel. I didn't find this to be an issue noise wise but still important to point out.
Overall, a very positive experience for me and I will be back for sure.

As mentioned by others of the community already, our hotel is located above LKF and a 10-15min walk up the stairs and slope is required to reach us.
When arriving in HK-Station / Central with luggage, a taxi for the price of HKD 40-50 is recommended. Once arrived at our hotel, our team can provide some tips & tricks to avoid most of the stairs when coming form Central station. You may consider taking the Mid-Level escalator from Queens Road (leaving Central station at Exit D1 or D2) up to Hollywood Road. From there, it is just a short stroll to our Hotel in Arbuthnot Road. Total journey time about 15-20min but guaranteed less stairs and slopes.
