I've stayed in this hotel many times, always enjoy this hotel with their great services, good location, and amazing scenery for enjoy National Palace from the room. The staff are warm and always remember you and welcome you back again. The room is just like home and always feel relax and comfortable to stay the room. the lounge is good but always crowded especially for the breakfast time. 1F breakfast restaurant is great with many food choices.
Stayed there for three nights. Got an upgrade with my membership. Nice suite just the bathroom and toilet are separate and they were at different end of the room which is a bit inconvenient. Had problem from the moment I checked in. No information on breakfast and lounge opening. Apparently they don’t even have a welcome letter. The lounge food is one of the worst I have ever tasted. Served Italian biscuit in half, stale bread sandwich. And very limited choice. Most staff couldn’t speak English. Bedroom was clean except the phone which was very dirty. And the one in the lounge didn’t work. No where to put shower gels inside the shower... which is strange as you either have to hold onto the bottle or leave it on the floor. Complained to the Guest Relations and requested to escalate to their General Manager. Ignored completely and they just find a different person to reply you. Wrote to their GM who is supposingly the Chair of Marriott North China Council. No response either. I think it just showed how much they don’t value customers. This is by far the worst Renaissance Hotel I stayed. The other Renaissance in Beijing is better. I eventually moved to another hotel as couldn’t stand this hotel anymore. FnB staff is polite and efficient though. And breakfast varieties is good. And location is good also. So if you don’t need services then this one is not that bad. …
I was on a business trip, so convenience was key. Right in the financial district, this hotel is just a block away from some of the best restaurants in the city. Big and comfortable rooms and helpful staff. Will certainly be staying here again.
We stayed two nights in the hotel and loved everything about it. I must start by thanking concierge Isaac. He was so incredibly attentive to all of our needs. He reserved a driver for us to go to the great wall, helped us by our forbidden city tickets online, and answered any other questions we had. The decorations of giant bookshelves in the lobby were very fun. We thoroughly enjoyed the club lounge, and had amazing food for breakfast and dinner there. The alcohol was also included up to a certain time. Views from the lounge were beautiful of the city. It was also only about a 25 or 30 minute walk from Tiananmen Square in the forbidden city. Our room was comfortable, clean, and quite spacious. We would absolutely recommend staying here!
