Stayed for 4 nights and this hostel is just perfect. Cozy, english speaking helpful staff, quiet, free breakfast! Location wise, very accessible situated in one of the oldest street in beijing surrounded by shops n restaurants. The only downside is that, towel not provided. Will definitely stay here again if will be back in Beijing.

We decided to book our Great Wall of China tour through Beijing Downtown Backpackers even though we weren't staying at the hostel. I read up online about many tours going to the Wall and didn't want to go somewhere that was crowded, nor did I want to go with a tour group and be stuck following a guide the whole... More

Awesome hostel in an amazing location. Second stay here in 10 years and the place is actually better than I remember. Staff is very helpful, free breakfast is great, and you are within walking distance of the forbidden city. Add to this you are situated on one of the trendiest streets in town. This place can't be beat! 10/10

Goes to a relatively isolated part of wall and at end of the day we were practically on our own. The group was 15 or so young and young at heart backpackers....mostky western... More

First of all: The people have been very nice and so helpful. Although we just stayed for 2 days, we felt a little like home. The price was more than fair and the location amazing. You can just walk around, grab some food and enjoy the beating atmosphere. The next underground station is pretty close and it was pretty simple... More

The staff could not do enough for you, from laundry for a small fee to directions, no inquiry was too greater trouble. The people were all so friendly, a really good atmosphere, lovely rooms that sometimes felt more like a hotel (I stayed in a private room). Made some friends for life there, it was very fun and social and... More

Was traveling as a duo, great location and accessibility while in Beijing. Walkable to hutong area as well as other city spots. They were affordable private basic rooms with plenty of space for 2 people, served our goals perfectly for being out on the town most of the time. The airport transfer was the clincher, huge help. Was only here... More

We didn't actually stay at the hostel but we did the sunset tour with them and everything went great. The price was acceptable and the tour guide, although he didn't have a great English made himself understood. Overall great experience with them.
