The room was clean and tidy. The beds were comfortable too. I stayed for two weeks for work. Sometimes I just needed to stay in the room to get work done, so I put 'don't disturb' on the door. They kept knocking on the door and calling to see when they could clean the room. One time I was in...

We booked a 5 star hotel and got a 2 star. Rooms big but needs to be redone. Bathrooms small and shabby. Reception shocking.....a group was checking out at 06h00 with only one receptionist in attendance. No concierge service. No maps. Breakfast OK. Location fantastic. Considering what you can get for this money in China - this one is nowhere...

Once you get in you can really see that this place used to be one of the most luxurious places in Beijing, but now it is becoming a bit old and not well maintained, mainly the rooms and the corridors. There is a cigarette odor everywhere and it feels old. The location is perfect, though!! Right between the Main Street...

This was Beijings first 5* hotel. Now it's barely 3*. The service was without a smile and if not rude at least not welcoming in any way. The room was torn and old. AC did not work and my room reaked of cigarette smoke. Breakfast was sparse. We also spotted the largest cockroach I've ever seen in the corridor. Wifi...

The hotel is located 5 blocks away from Forbidden City and Tiananmen Plaza. It is an Old Hotel that seems to have been one of the best in Beijing, but nowadays it looks that it has ben stucked in 90´s. Rooms are very big and comfortable. One thing to criticise was the rancid smell in the bathroom. Except for that,...

The Beijing Hotel is actually part of a complex of multiple hotels spanning a large block along East Chang'an Avenue that also includes the Raffles next door (has a better bar). The Beijing used to be the place to stay in the city, but now there are certainly better options. The location is great, right on Chang'an, a short 5-minute...

Used to be the best hotel in Beijing in the 80's (the real 5 star hotel back then), has not been updated since then and only lives on its old reputation. The room is spacious though not updated, the washroom is also very old. So the value for the price we paid is pretty low. despite that we got a...

Great location - near Forbidden City, Tiananmen square, shopping area, market, metro station. However, the furniture is old, the service is poor, the staff is quite unfriendly. Taking a taxi it's a challenge, even if you order it at the reception.
