The hotel itself is decent and historic. With magnificent views of the street and great amenities. I really like the smell of the soup and amenities in the hotel, which in my view is way better than those offered at other luxurious hotels, such as Waldorf. I stayed at the heritage suite. While the decoration is not modern, it is an accurate reflection of what Chinese aristocrat's household conditions were like one hundred years ago. I really enjoyed the historical feeling accompanied by it and I am eager to experience more of the heritage Suite. The hotel participated in the GHA program and as a GHA black card member, I had received pretty generous upgrades which is a pleasant surprise as those are not so often in other GHA hotels. The hotel staffs were amazing. Polite, attentive to details, and my requests were responded to in a timely manner. In fact, it is unusual that hotels in Beijing can maintain such a high level of service, given how inadequate the hospitality industry is in China. However, there is one thing that really bothered me. Even if I am an in-house guest and have already shown more than four kinds of documentation to the staff, which had all been taken pictures of, and myself being a resident of Beijing at that moment. Every time I access the Hotel door, there was always one rude door woman who asked me to write my national identification number, name, and my phone number on a piece of paper. And this paper is displayed in public and anyone can take a picture of it. The ridiculous part is, she only asked me and my girlfriend to do this and did not ask other guests. I had made a complaint to the management on the first day and nothing changed. In fact, on the second day, she became even ruder and said if I tried to not write my info, which the hotel has, she will call the police on me. And after complaining to the front desk again, she came to the front desk and even yelled at me. And one more thing I want to add is, after covid broke out, I had stayed more than one hundred nights in hotels ranging from the Middle East and across China, never had I once been asked to write all those info on a piece of paper for public display. This is simply a misuse of power and a ridiculous action because the hotel already had all of my info when I check-in. To this day, I do not understand her action and I will not return to this hotel until covid is over. Her action is a great violation of my privacy and had integrated an enormous amount of fear into myself, which I had never experience in any hotel before. With all that being said, this hotel is still a wonderful hotel and I would definitely recommend anyone interested in Chinese history to visit it.

We have just finished a perfect staycation at Beijing Nuo Hotel located within walking distance from the Tiananmen Square. The hotel definately deserves its recent award of the best historical hotel in Asia! The interior is glamorous with a sophisticated charm. The service was probably the best I have experienced in China with friendly and very attentive staff. The breakfast was superb with freshly baked bread and croissants which were better than some I have had in Europe! Huge recommendation for anyone looking to feel truly pampered in this historical hotel. Thank you for making our stay so memorable!

We arrived on the 1st January and hade the best 5 nights we could wish for. The hotel has an absolute TOP LOCATION. We needed 5min to the Forbidden city -walking. The Wangfujing street is 100m from the hotel. Subway is 50m from hotel and it will take you to all important places you need to see, such as Temple of Heaven. The hotel is very beautiful and clean. Staff is very nice and polite. They are always ready to answer all your questions and in good English, which believe me it isn't common in China. For example if you go to tourist info they will use mobile voice translator to understand you and give you answers. Woow! Breakfast is amazing...the best I had in all China. Basicaly anything you think of and most of all...coffee is very very good. They arranged us a taxi for the last day and the price was fair. No extra charge. We were on our honeymoon and the prepared us a heart shapped cake and fruit. Also put rose paddles on the bed. Very beautiful and thoughtfull! We also used their pool. It was nice but just a little bit cold. Maybe you should heat the place and the water a bit more. Thank you so much for making our 5 days in Beijing something we will never forget!

We stayed at Hotel Nuo Forbidden City I January to see Beijing and the Great Wall. We arrived early at the hotel and had originally intended to drop our bags and go sitegseeing until we could check in later. However, my daughter was very unwell on arrival and unable to sight-seeing that morning as planned. The hotel staff saw she was not well and very kindly allowed us to check in early. This enabled her to relax, have a bath, rest a recuperate. Jessie Zhou in reception was so professional and courteous. She helped us to our room and later checked up on us periodically throughout our stay to make sure we were OK and see if we needed anything. She even sent some fruit and a get well card for my daughter which was so thoughtful and nice - it really cheered us up! Room service meals were excellent too. Loved the pizza, and the crispy prawn ball dish was amazing. We spent a whole day in the hotel just relaxing and pampering ourselves with all the complimentary goods (lovely soap, gowns and slippers) which very much helped my daughter made a speedy recovery. The hotel is also very conveniently located. Very central and within easy reach of major sights. The Beijing metro station Wangfujing is right outside the front of the hotel which made travelling around the city so easy and cheap for us. Above all though, it was the personal service provided by Jessie Zhou in our hotel reception that we valued - she was exemplary. She really looked after us, always greeted us with a big smile and made us feel welcome and so at home. Jessie is such an asset to this hotel. She turned a routine hotel stay into something very special and memorable for us. We loved her, this hotel and our whole stay at Nuo Forbidden City in Beijing. Thank you - we will be back!

The hotel is located right in front of Wangfujing station, hence traveling is very convenient. Beside the hotel has few malls and eatery, the famous duck restaurant and a very huge book store. It’s the sister hotel of Beijing Hotel, hence the lobby is link. Room was decent and spacious, we booked a deluxe room but sadly is not much view. Overall had a great stay in this hotel and we will definitely stay here again when we visit Beijing.
