After reading many quite good reviews of this hotel we were very disappointed with our room on the seventh floor. When first entering the room we found the bathroom floor to be dirty and dust on all of the furniture. The bed was quite comfortable but was not made for the three nights we were there. The towels were replaced... More

Very beautifully decorated hotel in the center of city. Rooms are very spacious, clean and well furnished. During spring the air conditioners are switched off. Open the windows to get nice cool breeze. The rooms do nothing provide sugar and milk or Whitener for tea! The Indian travelers should carry own supplies of sugar and milk for the cup of... More

Our first stopover in China. The hotel is dated and needs more maintenance. It is close to the city square. The rooms are equipped with a TV (2 english news channels only), hair dryer, tea kettle, frifge, comfortable beds, tea set, slippers, clean linen (though not changed everyday). Bathroom has accessories but no razor and a bath tub. The force... More

Very nice room, ordered room with extra bed and basically got a suite. Very Clean, prompt and good service, very good location almost next to the Silk market and an underground station. Breakfast ok - BUT do not eat lunch or dinner there, not very good food and extremely expensive, loads of nice and cheap restaurants

Magnificent hospitality mouth watering Chinese dishes I enjoyed the food. It was in the evening and we were getting ready to go for Beijing Opera and the tour guide took us here. We enjoyed ourselves and we bought lots of items from the shopping places around.

A nice hotel in Peking. Rooms are looking a bit "old fashion" which nicely fits to the "Opera theme" that the hotel aligns with. Service is nice, breakfast is very ok (-especially for China if you allow that comment).

I spent four nights here on a recent trip to Beijing with my daughter. It's not fancy, but it's a decent hotel in a good location. The rooms are large and clean with many modern amenities - mini fridge, in-room safe, flat screen TV, good air conditioning. The free wifi is fast and very reliable. They offer a large breakfast... We found this hotel had spacious and comfortable rooms with adequate facilities. It was located in a reasonably accessable district of Beijing with some shops and restaurants within easy walking distance. However on two occasions we tried to use the Lobby Bar for drinks and snacks and found many of the published items were not available due to stock shortages.... More

Good value in a good location of Beijing. Although quite dated in finishings, this hotel does have a nice, light lobby area, and an interesting garden & water feature running through the entire middle of the hotel, making for a nice relief from the city. Restaurants on-site are even more dated, and very over-priced, but staff are all very competent... More

We stayed here as part of an organised tour. I suspect that 95% of the people who stay here are in the same boat. It was better than I expected - the location is decent, the rooms are okay, the buffet breakfast is a bit of a scrum but there are a lot of food options. The neighbourhood nearby has... More
