This hotel in Beijing was very nice, all decorated for Christmas. Beautiful lobby area. The room was big and comfortable with a very spacious bathroom. Bed and pillows were really nice. We were told that although the hotels in China have smoking as well as non-smoking rooms, they cannot guarantee that someone did not smoke in the room before. We...

You enter in the lobby and you are greeted with tall ceilings and elegance. You go into the room and you are greeted with a damp moldy (dank) smell and faint odor of urine in the bathroom. The hotel has signs stating no smoking but at night the odor of smoke infiltrates your room. When we called to complain about...

I'm a bit mystified by some of the reviews here and wonder what people's expectations are (disclosure: I am staying for business and did not book so I can't comment on value for money). I am on the 16th floor in the executive area. The room is probably the most spacious and well-appointed hotel room I have had anywhere in...

This hotel is for smokers only. If you don't want to die with cancer, smoke filled rooms and hallways, all your clothes stinking like an ashtray, same to your hair, stay away! How about the inch thick mold and algae growing in the shower stall and sink rims ? Sticky substance dripped all over the marble bathroom floor and sink...

The location of the hotel is not really optimal for sightseeing as the closest subway station is ca. 20 minutes walking distance from the hotel. Of course one can go by taxi, but this might be even longer in the Beijing traffic during the day. I stayed in the hotel for 5 nights as part of a group on a...

We stayed here for two nights, the room was a very nice size and it was very quiet. Shops are accessible directly from the elevator of the hotel, as there is a shopping center in the basement. Breakfast was varied, but the food was a little cold.

It is far to be a 5 stars hotel. It looks like the 90's Chinese governmental hotel: Cheap luxury and no comfort. I have avoided the breakfast, because did not want to go further in the experience. Nice points: The room are quite big, with large windows, beds are fine, washroom with marble if you like it. Payment can be...

This was our first stay at a hotel in China as part of my Sinorama tour. The downstairs area made a great first impression on me with fresh flowers, ornamental tea room and fountains. My room was very large, clean and no smell of smoke. In fact there were no smoking signs in room.Reading other people reviews,I wonder if I was staying at the...

We stayed at the Empark Grand on a Sinorama tour. The sink was very much like the one in the picture. The hotel is old, dated and shabby. The staff tries their best to keep the room clean despite the visible signs of wear. The breakfast was included and was a nice combination of Western and Chinese and was very...
