Plus: - Location is very near to Dongsi Subway Station - Affordable cost. I stayed in Beijing Saga Youth Hostel (China, Beijing Shi, Dongcheng Qu, DongDan) which is one of the Happy Dragon hostels. We stayed in a private double room which was basic but sufficient. Towels, slippers, shampoo and showergel are provided. The restaurant/bar was very cosy and drinks and food are very cheap compared to other hostels. The food is very...

I only stayed one night but found the hostel to be very good. Bed was comfortable, everything was clean. Close to an oddly large amount of framing and trophy stores, but also close to everything else. The staff spoke near fluent English which was a real plus!

First off if you are planning on seeing the Great Wall this hostel offers many different tours and they are cheap. Avoid the hassle and join a tour group. They will take you to the wall and you can explore for several hours alone, and they give you an Americanized Chinese lunch. The hostel is great. Kind of difficult to...

Nice hostel and for the price you pay its worth it. Recommended. Took the trip to Muntiyani with the happy dragon and was great. Not many tourists and good food included. To find the hostel u cant go straight as they said because its a building under construction. Just do the turn around the corner.

We stayed at the hostel in a 5 person dorm for 10 days. As soon as we arrived (early hours of the morning) we were warmly welcomed in and given a tasty cheap breakfast. Our room was warm and comfortable, as well as secure. The staff were very kind, welcoming us and remembering our names. The hostel also had a...

I have no problem recommending this hostel. It is clean, the staff speak English well, there is a free internet cafe, bar with good atmosphere and all for about 150rmb. It's really close to the Subway and Tian'anmen Square and there are all sorts of cheap and good eating places all around. The rooms have en-suite facilities and TV and...

The Happy Dragon, was found easily by the metro. The western breakfast was ok when I compare it with other western hostels in Harbin and Xian, it was not as good. The cereal fruit bowl contains only fruits and the bacon in the American breakfast is Chinese standard. Otherwise the personell is friendly and speaks English quite well. The most...

I stayed in saga international youth hostel, which is one of the Happy Dragon hostels. the hostel was basic but good for somewhere to rest your head. The food in the hostel restaurant was really good and very cheap. The hostel also arranged our trip to the Great Wall of china, and made everything easy for us as we were...

The hostel has a nice vibe, a cute kitchen / bar where to spend some time, big rooms, the staff speaks great English and they have some useful services like train tickets purchase. It's not super cheap and they have limited Asian food on the menu (a blessing for someone maybe), anyway it's plenty of local food options nearby.
