Can't believe this costs the same as those other backpack bunkbed packing hostels. This is quiet, the atmosphere is dreamy and romantic. You can have a lovely breakfast and the staff has all the time to give you some TLC. Zen. For the price, it's impossible to get more Zen. Elegance. Catch up on sleep here!!

Me and my boyfriend booked a double room last week. We were greeted with a friendly and efficient front desk and check-in was a breeze. As Beijing is really cold now during the winter, we were very elated that the room not only came with heater, but a floor heater! Imagine our delight! Hotel has a dog, and a cat,...

The Hutongren courtyard hotel is right in the centre of Nanluoguxiang, it is the perfect location for exploring the Hutong area, which is touristy but full of great restaurants, bars and eateries - its a fun place to be. The hotel is designed very well, with clean earthy colours and 2 comfy seating areas near reception to relax. I stayed...

We stayed with the 3 children in the room with the bunk beds. This room is very small and has an own shower in a very small seperate room. The shower has no ventilation and has a lot of mold all over and it smells horrible! The kids refused to take a shower in this room. The room is also...

The location is great, staff very friendly and helpful and the rooms ok for the price. We would come again for a long weekend trip! Generally it is very clean. Bathroom is not equipped with air-ventilation, which is visible at the ceiling and walls.

I always wanted to stay near Nanluoguxiang, fearing it would be too much turmoil. But Hutongren Hotel is an oasis with friendly and helpful (especially with the taxi!) staff, excellent breakfast, and a wonderful terrace.

Located down a quiet back alley off the buzzing Nanluoguxiang, this hutong hotel is in a great spot. Booked through their website and received a discount for cash. When I arrived after being away on the Great Wall for the weekend I was early for check in but the staff made me welcome with a tea while the room was...

This was my first stay and after a little difficulty finding it, I received a great welcome at reception, where the staff were always helpful with good English. The location was great, with a 5-10 min walk to the subway, many restaurants and nice bars in the streets around the hotel. It was certainly more peaceful and authentic than other...

This was my second stay and even better than the first one. This 10-room hotel in a tiny side street is very clean, well maintained, quiet, and has atmosphere. I especially like to all natural decoration and furniture and the large tree overshadowing most of the building. If you come during the dry and warm season, take the (only) room...
