A truly gem of a boutique hotel where Location, rooms, design, F&B outlets and staff all get 5 stars. The design by Kengo Kuma still stands out as one of the top hotels I have been to. I love the use of wood an elemental substances The opposite house is always a harmonic oasis for me in an otherwise hectic...

I couldn't imagine a hotel even being this cool until I walked in the door. Everything about it just screams coolness from the decor to the way the staff dress. Our room was big, bright and really comfortable. The free mini bar is a nice touch. All said, this was a great place to stay especially after a day running...

Got picked up by hotel staff at the airport and was escorted to the hotel in a Maserati. Check in was done very smoothly and we received a very warm welcome from all the staff. I recently spent three days in Beijing with my son, and he had booked us into The Opposite House - what a brilliant choice! Think of something, like say an international five star hotel, and then your mind may well conjure up images of formal lobby’s, brocade curtains perhaps even, heaven forbid, guilt ormolu. Along with stuffy service staff with starched uniforms….now stick with that thought and then consider the complete...
