Wanted to stay in the city, but not to far away from the airport, as I only had 24 hours. From the airport every 8 minutes the express train takes you to downtown Beijing, getting out at the first stop I took an easy and cheap taxi ride over the Opposite. The hotel is trendy, beautiful and an oasis in...

I was excited at the prospect of Sunday brunch at this well known hotel / restaurant. Sureno. The staff were friendly and the surroundings relaxing. The starters were nice enough. And after a couple of champagnes the four of us were relaxed and feeling good. However when the main course arrived things went downhill. Minamilistic is an understatement. Tuna with...

Fantastically close to the temporary New Zealand Embassy in Beijing (former French Embassy). Close to modern shops and restaurants. One of the most innovative hotels i have stayed in. Wooden panelling on walls, wooden floor and even wooden bath. Great use of technology at check in (no counter). Friendly staff. Good breakfast. Comfortable bed. Internet was at times a bit...

This hotel is nicely situated in the Sanlitun area, which accommodates range of nice shops and restaurants. The hotel is very well-designed, especially the rooms! One suggestion: Go and have a few drinks at their lobby bar, they taste truly amazing.

It was very hot in Beijing when I visited. This was my third hotel and the only one with decent air conditioning (fantastic air conditioning). Free, well-stocked minibar, free wifi. All of the amenities. The staff was extremely professional and almost everyone spoke fluent English. Great location near Embassy Row and the best shopping in town. Truly unique. Book ahead...

I have not stayed in the hotel, I only come by for coffee or lunch and I've given it three goes. It sucks. This -- what do they call it? a coffee shop? a restaurant? -- has the furnishings, ambiance and quality of food one generally associates with a sixth form common room. It's a soulless place with inefficient robots...
