It's a backpackers, and doesn't pretend to be a 5* resort. This is reflected in the kind of people it attracts. It's small and friendly, basic and yet I've yet to meet anyone with a single negative comment. Lesley is lovely, one of the most well rounded, grounded people I've ever had the fortune to meet, and even though we...

Hi sweetheart, thankyou so much for your review... It was lovely to have you both as my guests.. I'm so happy you were around at my party! Just to respond to a couple of pointers :) ... The house Was packed, and sometimes people don't feel like they can ask me again - so I didn't realise you only had...

I stayed at Backpacker's Nirvana last summer for two weeks while volunteering in Mombasa. The owner, Leslie and her staff were incredible! I stayed in the dorm room which was very comfortable and cleaned every day. Breakfast was included which made it easier to have one less thing to worry about in the morning while rushing out to catch a...

I stayed for about 20 days and while doing a dive course. I got everything I wanted at the hostel, relax evenings to study, busy evenings to go out, great company from the people that stayed and the staff. Awesome time with Lesley the owner and a nice famely feeling to top it all. Defently worth staying.

I spent 9 months here while I was volunteering in Mombasa, as soon as I arrived everyone was so welcoming and it soon felt like home! Lesley soon became a friend to me who was always there if I needed her, we had many adventures and spent lots of lazy days watching films and relaxing at Nirvana. Esther, Charity and...

Was at Nirvana for 2 months and loved it. It's great that you can use the kitchen whenever you want, and always someone around to help you find things. Was in one of the private rooms and it was comfortable, clean, and as close to home as you can get. This is the same with the whole hostel, always someone...

The best vacation ever had was at Nirvana. I stayed there for 3 nights, taking a break from the buzzing Nairobi life. Nirvana provided the best option of a quite friendly environment for me. I was away from home, but I felt home-using the kitchen freely. The kitchen is spacious and not too crowded. The lounge has a splendid artistic...

Nirvana has a great atmosphere, is located right next to a beach that is beautiful at sunrise and is an easy matatu ride from town. Leslie truly wants to help all her guests have a great time and has some wonderful suggestions of things to do and things to avoid. The dorm rooms are decent though beds are a little...

I have never felt as welcomed in a hostel as I did here; I visited in December 2011 and just loved the atmosphere. The owner Leslie loved her guests and let them even stay in her room and she just opened her house in such a nice way. The roof was amazing and the location was great as it was...
