This camp was a winner! I stayed for 6 nights in August. Was supposed to only stay 4 but added on and I am so glad I did! First let me say my tent was so amazing. I was facing a field by the road that came into camp. I sat on the porch one afternoon and right in front...

We had been on a private safari (our first ever) up in Lakipia and didn't think anything could compare to that. Wrong!! Porini Lion Camp is set along the river. The tents are beautifully appointed, even flushing toilets yet very green philosophy. Our Maassai guides were so informative, friendly, passionate about their land. Food was very good. Can't wait to...

Our second stop on our safari, after Porini Mara, was Porini Lion. The Porini camps do a fantastic job at all camps: excellent food and drinks, super staff and service, game drives that find the animals, and very comfortable accommodations. Jackson and Big John did a fabulous job finding the animals for us and Phillip ran a top-notch dining room....

My father and I stayed at Porini Lion Camp for 3 days. The experience was amazing! We were asked several times what our expectation were and could not give an answer. This was our first time in Kenya and first time on a trip of this nature.Needless to say we were both blown away by the camp, the people, and...

I loved this camp and loved the Masai Mara. So many animals and in such a stunning setting. We were there in July 2014 and it seemed to be feasting month - lions eating, hyenas eating, a cheetah with her kill, and then of course the scavengers waiting for the leftovers. Well, I suppose the great migration of wildebeest and...

After two nights at Porini Mara, it was clear that Porini Lion had a lot to live up to. I have been on safari in the Mara over ten times, and tried Porini for the first time. Their philosophy and approach are wonderful, and it was interesting to see the difference in delivery at the two camps. Porini Lion feels...

Everything that has been written previously about Porini Lion is right on the mark. There is wildlife everywhere, the staff is exceptional, and the accommodations are clean and spacious. Porini Lion is definitely one of the best options in the conservancy. One recommendation I would make (for all safari goers) is to do research on safari guides (since you can't...

Stayed 2 nights. Wished it was longer. The whole experience was excellent ... tented accommodation, hot showers, early wake up with tea/coffee. Listening to animals outside your tent in the early hours. Game drives with excellent staff. Open jeeps, could hear and smell the animals. Night drives. Walking Safari (which we didn't do. Food and service excellent. Can't wait to...

We had a blast at Porini Lion camp. The food is excellent and the service is out of this world. Our drinks were never empty. Our guides were fantastic [we had William and Keteri] It was incredibly comfortable and the tents were very clean. Would definitely stay there again!

My wife and I have just returned from a 4 night stay at Porini Lion Camp that completed our Safari in Kenya. First stop was Samburu. Accommodation: The tents are spacious and nicely maintained. They lock down very well so that you are safe and very few bugs can find their way in - day and night. The tents do...
