From the moment they pick you up at the airstrip to the time they take you back their attention to detail and making sure that they meet your expectations is their number one priority. When we got to the camp check in was quick and easy and we were taken to our tents. It was everything you see in the... More

Awesome location on a bend of thickly forested river in the middle of the Maasai Mara. Our tent was located at the bend in the river. This spot was home to about 30 hippos, so we spent much time observing and listening to hippos. Incredible. The service and food were also extraordinary. The dining and lounge area are also located... More

This is my 2nd stay at Mara explorer. My first trip was in 2015 with my best friends; this trip was with my Dad, husband and two young sons (ages 11 and 8). Beyond expectations!! Samson was our guide (again) and he made sure we saw everything there was to see -- even the leopard lounging in the tree! We... More

I live in Kenya and have stayed at many lodges and been on many safaris, this one blew them out of the water. It was everything you would want out of a safari camp. Atmosphere: Old World Colonial feel and decor, you feel like you're an "explorer" from the 1800's going out for the first time (but a wealthy one... More

My friends and family had the most wonderful stay at this camp in the Masai Mara. I should have wrote this review a while ago since our stay was in July but it was truly one of the best trips we have ever had. The accommodations were great even though we had a tent, it was luxury all the way.... More

Moses does an excellent job maintaining a hip social lounge at the reception center, which is themed after traditoinal Maasai clothing. Wifi available.
