My husband surprised me with a two-night stay here. It was so fantastic that when my mom came to visit the next year, we didn't hesitate to go back with her and two jaded teenagers. I can't imagine a safari experience being any better. The airstrip is just minutes from the camp. Tents are outstanding. We had one over the... More

This was one of the best experiences of my life. There are an abundance of animals to be seen. We saw over 20 lions and saw 2 crossings and lots more except a rhino over a 3 day Safari. Driver was great also. Camp is top class.. Recommend taking a picnic breakfast as opposed to coming back for breakfast after... More

So, the guides meet you at the airstrip and take you to the camp. It's a short ride of a few minutes. The tents and common areas are properly cared for and fit the environment. The tents are stationed on concrete pads and each one includes a toilet, shower, hot/cold water and electricity. Glamping at its best. You can choose... More

Stayed 4 days at Governor's Camp. The best of our 4 safari adventures during this trip. Nicolas, the manager was very present and always friendly. Phillip our driver could not have been more accommodating. He answered all of our questions and search for what we wanted to see. He even offered and delivered us a short safari on the morning... 4 days at Governors and our driver found us the big 5. This was our present holiday to ourselves upon retirement. What an experience. I can strongly recumbent the Governors. All staff very dedicated. Food very good but as can be expected limited in verity. You are in the depths of the Massai Mara. Don't hesitate go!!! We had a... More

We visited as a family of 4 adults at the end of September. For 2 of us it was our 2nd time at Governors. We had tents facing the plains. The staff are exceptional and the stay was amazing again. We see a river crossing and a leopard with her cubs. Still no rhino though so will have to visit... More

We truly loved every minute of it, our tent was just perfect, helped with Lenard bringing our fresh coffee every morning and hot water bottle at night, the food was fab along with the staff, and more importantly we had the most fantastic time on our drives, seeing so much more than what we ever expected and learned so much... Difficult to know where to start. The internal flight to the Mara Air Strip was about 45 minutes and we were promptly met by Jeeps and taken to the Governors Main Camp only a few minutes away. We were accommodated in the best tent I've ever seen - even the shower and loo has tiled flooring! The catering, although a... More

During late August 2016, I spent four days at Governors' Camp. Game viewing, in a shared safari vehicle, was excellent. Large herds or wildebeest and cape buffalo were easily seen on all game drives, as were lions, zebras, giraffe, topi, hartebeest, cheetah, elephants and leopards up in trees! I was also fortunate to see herds of wildebeest, on their migration,... More

I would recommend the Governors Camp to anyone and everyone.I had never been on a Safari before, and wanted to go on one for my 21st birthday. My dad selected the Governors Camp, and he could not have picked anything better! From the very outset, we were greeted by very friendly and welcoming staff - when you arrive you are... More
