Location: Amazing location situation on the Mara river, with some rooms looking out onto the river, with others looking out the bush. Rooms: can't fault anything with them, most comfortable bed iv ever been in, with plenty of space. From start to finish the staff where nothing but helpful and polite. Our driver was full of knowledge on the safari,...

Dear Sam, Thank you for your wonderful review. Governors has been pioneering immersive and transformational safaris in the Mara since 1972. We were the first operators to be permanently based inside the Mara, our site was chosen for its prime location and was the designated “getaway” for the Governors of Kenya. Unfenced and right in the heart of the action....

Spent four night with kids, really unforgettable experience and definitely more than expectation. From early morning till night, you're surrounded by wild life. You can see foot print of Hippo in front of your tent in the morning. All the staff well trained, service and facility is well balanced between comfortable and ecology. Though price is quite expensive, I can...

We also saw cheetahs, a think and some saw a leopard but we didn't. Loved the...

Best location in the Mara. With wild animals having a free for all in the property one is treated to hippos, leopards, lions, hyenas, elephants and even buffalo wandering in through the camp. The staff here is top class with extremely friendly servers, bar tenders and even the camp manager Harrison chimes into the music at the end of the...

We arrived at the Main Governor's Camp having just stayed in an absolutely amazing lodge in Laipikia (Loisaba Tented Camp) so pretty much anything would have been a let down after this. But in the end, we did have a very good time at the MGC. The best bits: - The arrival by plane (with safari links) is just spectacular...
