If you are going on safari in Kenya you should definately stay here. This lodge is so beautiful and located in the midst of the Masai Mara Reserve. The lodge is absolutely gorgeous. I drove (not recommended for the faint hearted) from Nairobi. The roads are quite treacherous and you will need a really decent 4wheel drive with air conditioning...

The location is a strategic advantage. Very near to the grasslands. Early morning sightings of the various animals becomes so easy. Food is a bit of a challenge here. Be ready to get up early in the morning for the animal sighting. Then speak in the pool for a re-energised time for sightings in the evening

Lovely experience, ambiance, food and service. It was a very pleasant ATMOSPHERE. They do turn the electricity off at night (midnight to 5 am) so bring a flashlight and a small battery operated fan. They also turn the electricity off for several hours at a time during the day...but if you know the schedule, it isn't unpleasant.

Great place to stay in Masai Maara. The rooms were good and well equipped to deal with any mosquitoes. The internet was surprisingly fast, even in the middle of nowhere. The bathrooms could have been better, but it can be overlooked The food served was also on a good level. Not the perfect place, but the staff makes up for...

We stayed here from 29th Feb to 3rd March and had a fantastic time. Location is perfect just a couple of minutes from Keekorok airstrip and in heart of the reserve. Joseph the driver was extremely knowledgeable and provided first class game drives. All staff were very attentive in what felt like a "home from home". Accommodation good although no...

Arrived at Keekorok, allocated room 27. It was awful right next to the kitchen vent, which was very noisy, and it looked like a pontins chalet. we went back to reception and they changed our room straight away. room 24 Beautiful. The only noise we could here were the birds and the hippos, bliss. Yes the room is a bit...

I have stopped here three times. Each time I have visited the standards and cleanliness of the place has really dropped. Sun shades that are falling to pieces, parasols that are covered in black mold, and just generally not looked after. Which is a shame because it used to be a really nice comfortable lodge and has the potential to...

We took the executive suite and I am glad I did, the standard rooms lacked privacy. The bed was very comfortable and the room to a high standard, the shower was really good. The staff are excellent. The hotel was very responsive to requests to make the food less salty. Meals were buffet style and OK - it's difficult to...

My boyfriend and I stayed here for two nights as part of our safari. It was a great base to explore the Masai Mara and offered a welcoming respite from all those hours on bumpy roads! The hotel was lovely and peaceful with comfortable rooms and great service. All the staff were lovely - especially our waiter Milton who was...

Rooms were rustic and moderate size (tough to move around when mosquito net was extended). Split front door was somewhat odd, maybe to keep the animals out (friends had monkey enter the room anyway). Food was okay, seemed to cater to Indian guests. Grass on grounds was unmowed, maybe to provide food for the hippos.
