This was our second visit to Mara Camp and once again we were the only guests as it was low season. Many thanks to Aki who was Acting Host and made us very welcome. She even laid on lions resting within 40 yards of our tent on arrival! We were reunited with George, our guide from 4 years ago and...

The Camp is located in the northern section of the Maasai Mara National Reserve. We knew we were in for something special as our small plane began its decent to the airstrip where one spectator stood out. It was David our assigned guide for our stay who was dressed in the blazing red Maasai Mara garb which was just eye-catching...

A treat in acacia valley where giraffe walk past your tent, and the experienced and friendly staff make your stay fly by. Mara North conservancy is a gorgeous jewel in Kenya where wildlife thrives. The camp is tucked away in a gorgeous valley where wildlife is visible from your verandah. We even managed to see an aardwolf, one of the...

Just returned from a wonderful 8 day stay at the Kicheche Mara Camp. Eight days is quite a long time in one camp (we also stayed at Kicheche Valley Camp) BUT there was never a dull moment and our excellent guide, Benja, ensured that every day was packed full of new sightings and experiences and we visited many different areas...

Three friends and I returned two weeks ago from a trip to Africa that included an unforgettable four day stay at the Kicheche Mara Camp. Every aspect of the service and the stay was outstanding. George Nampaso was our guide throughout our stay and he has our highest praise. From the time that he met us at the airport on...

Our final stop on our Kenyan safari adventure and probably my favourite of the camps. Top quality permanent tents overlooking the grasslands full of wildlife, the local hippo in the river, the water buffalo around the tents at night and on one evening lions eating antelope nearby. As usual for Kicheche camps the furnishings, food and welcome were excellent and...

This camp is the best we have ever stayed in! The service was superb, the guides extremely good and the situation top notch! We had elephant, buffalo, zebra and antelope walking through the camp day and night - armed escort always available after dark. The drives out were very good in the conservation area and the trip to the Mara...

Kicheche Mara Camp was absolutely amazing, the highlight of our honeymoon! Johnson was the best guide and was the best part of our experience - request Johnson if you go to any Kicheche camp around the Mara! He made sure we saw all of the cats and everything we were hoping to see. My husband and I are already trying...

We stayed 3 nights in this camp on our first safari holiday, Aki was covering for the camp hosts and was extremely welcoming. We were impressed that she was there to see us off and receive us back into camp after each game drive. The camp is not fenced so animals do wander through but the night watchmen are brilliant...

This camp is managed with an fine eye on every detail, from the hot water bottles in the mornings and nights to the stuffs waiting just slightly off your camp to bring you to dinner at night. Wild life viewing at this Maasai area is also incredible. The food is also the best in all the camps I've stayed in.
