We absolutely loved the rugged feel of the camp! While on the edge of the reserve, you feel absolutely in the middle of everything. Animals coming through camp by day and night! Simply beautiful. The staff worked hard and we're always attentive. If you're looking for a truly awesome rustic visit, this is it! We recommend it, for sure!! Thank...

We are so glad we were directed to the camp. It was awesome experience. Hosts were gracious and aimed to please. Very quiet place but surrounded by wild. We watched giraffes, elephants, wildebeest and zebras while sitting on our tent porch. We heard lions and hyenas among others at night. There are fancier resorts in area but we think we...

We loved that camp. The food was very nice, one of the nicest we had in the different camps. The staff was great and very helpful - we even had Masai guards escorting us back to the tents at night. The tents were great built on concrete with clean bathrooms within the tents but with good internal separation. The beds...

Well the trip was long( 6 hrs ) when we reached( a group of ten ) we saw a shady sign written NYUMBU CAMP but the reception was amazing when they give you a glass of juice. The thing that pulled me down was that they only had one AC point that was in the reception area. We ate our...

Initially this was the place we were most apprehensive about staying in, but we needn't have been. The hotel staff here were incredibly welcoming and helpful. They couldn't do enough for us and the food was delicious! The staff were around at all times if we needed anything and were very protective of us. We saw lots of animals on...

We loved this camp. This is about as close as you can get to Kenya's Wildlife. My youngest and I shared one tent, my husband and our eldest another. I had the outermost tent, which had the best view. Food is very nice. The staff is 80 pc Maasai, which is very special as there is some evening entertainment and...

We head to the Nyumbu Tented Camp, located just outside the park’s Talek Gate, and arrive just in time to have a catered lunch. Our tented camp is a collection of 16 permanent residence tents on stonemason slabs. The camp is powered by large solar cells, and sits within the wildlife area. We no sooner finish lunch, and three Zebra...

My daughter at 14 and I spent 3 nights at Nyumbu camp and it was by far the highlight of our two week trip through Kenya. Our friend James, the take care of everything Masai hospitality coordinator, was excellent and catered to our every wish. Very entertaining, great hospitality, and great food & drink. Eco Camp! Solar powered, spacious tents, Masai warrior guards the tents during night! You'll need to wave solar powered torch light in case wish to move out of tent during night (even for going to dinner hall for dinner), quite an experience; during night one can hear animals moving around the tents (didn't have the courage to venture out at...
