I stayed at Sala's Camp as part of a team of doctors and dentists offering free medical treatment to the local communities on the edge of the reserve. As always the team and managers at Sala's were incredibly hospitable, providing us with vehicles, translators and a chef, and opening up their camp for our use. Huge thanks and see you...

The recently renovated Sala's Camp combines an under canvas feel with all the comforts one could possibly want in a luxury Mara camp. Beautifully located on a river in a quiet region of the southern Mara, close to the TZ border, it escapes the traffic of more crowded areas. I just spent three nights at Sala's as in a dream,...

We arrived to Sala's and as always at the Safari Collection's properties, there was a full staff welcome upon arrival. We had a lovely "tent" with actual canvas walls, but with glass doors facing the river and opposite bank with Tanzania in the background, beautiful. The tents are completely private, you don't hear or see anyone else around you. The...

As the location where I spent the conclusion of my tour of Kenya, this was easily my favorite place. Sala's Camp is a beautiful place in the middle of the Masai Mara. Bordering the Sand River this camp provides breathtaking views and a reminder that you are surrounded by wildlife. It was a very freeing and comforting to be staying...

We flew here from Sasaab with our 12 year old granddaughter and we were delighted to be upgraded to the family suite on arrival and loved our spacious and comfortable accommodation. The 'tents' are well equipped with every conceivable need including painting gear for the artistically inspired. The staff are friendly and helpful and service exceptional. We loved our early...

Being in tourism myself, and having visited other properties in this portfolio, I had high expectations... but Sala's Camp exceeded them! Perfect location, comfortable safari vehicles, attentive staff and the most amazing meals! Two leopard sightings and three lion sightings in 48 hours and no other vehicles to be seen - wow, were we really in the Mara? Now we...

My family and I stayed at the Sala’s Camp in Kenya in December of 2016. Would we stay here again? Yes. Would we recommend it to friends? YES!!!!!! This is one of my family’s top travel experience of all time. While technically you stay in tents, because the walls are canvas, the tents are nicer than most hotel rooms that...

I am at a loss of words because anything I say won't accurately describe how wonderful this lodge and the staff are. The manager (I'm embarrassed because I can't remember his name but he was a older British man) was extraordinarily kind. I can tell he is part of the reason that the staff follows suit. The game drivers Nixon...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Located in the less known southern area of the renowned Masai Mara, Sala’s Camp rests on the banks of the Sand and Keekorok rivers looking into Tanzania’s Serengeti on the opposite side. Sala’s Camp is nestled amongst an indigenous forest with views into the Northern Corridor, which is the route taken by the million wildebeest whose famous migration takes place annually.
