Being in tourism myself, and having visited other properties in this portfolio, I had high expectations... but Sala's Camp exceeded them! Perfect location, comfortable safari vehicles, attentive staff and the most amazing meals! Two leopard sightings and three lion sightings in 48 hours and no other vehicles to be seen - wow, were we really in the Mara? Now we...

My family and I stayed at the Sala’s Camp in Kenya in December of 2016. Would we stay here again? Yes. Would we recommend it to friends? YES!!!!!! This is one of my family’s top travel experience of all time. While technically you stay in tents, because the walls are canvas, the tents are nicer than most hotel rooms that...

I am at a loss of words because anything I say won't accurately describe how wonderful this lodge and the staff are. The manager (I'm embarrassed because I can't remember his name but he was a older British man) was extraordinarily kind. I can tell he is part of the reason that the staff follows suit. The game drivers Nixon...

Where do I start? Sala's camp is a hidden gem in the Masai Mara. On our first day the team had set up al fresco dining where we were serenaded by the sounds of the nature around us. Our tents were beautiful with ensuite bathrooms and glass doors where I frequently watched monkeys playing and fighting in the morning. Finding...

Thank you so much for this amazing review of Sala’s Camp. We are glad that Sala’s exceeded your expectations in terms of service, food and wildlife. I agree that the camp’s secluded location, close to Tanzania with wonderful views of the Serengeti National Park, makes it one of the first camps in the Mara to witness the legendary annual migration...

I'm not even kidding . . . I've been to Sala's Camp three times in 2016 as a base to film wildlife in the Masai Mara and it's more than simply a gorgeous place to say. Each time I return I'm welcomed as if coming home, and it feels that way. The management and staff are incredible, warm and so...

For me the magic of Sala's Camp is its location - well away from the vast majority of other camps, right beside the river and overlooking the migration corridor. That one can stay in accommodation of boutique hotel quality while in the bush, with game all around and all the night sounds that go with it, is to me astounding....

This is a small, recently refurbished (including plunge pools) truly luxurious camp with very friendly and accommodating staff. Wonderfully located on the Sand River it is quiet, and far from all the other Mara camps. A real bonus especially for game drives. Salas Camp is tented in the most luxurious way. Tastefully comfortable, accommodating, well trained staff whether chef, guide or gardener. Scrumptious food. The best was the location right on the Southern border with Tanzania. You see the Wildebeest first and you see them go last to start the journey all over again following the rain. Two amazing wildebeest river crossings...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Located in the less known southern area of the renowned Masai Mara, Sala’s Camp rests on the banks of the Sand and Keekorok rivers looking into Tanzania’s Serengeti on the opposite side. Sala’s Camp is nestled amongst an indigenous forest with views into the Northern Corridor, which is the route taken by the million wildebeest whose famous migration takes place annually.
