What an experience ! We lived with hippos and crocodiles as our next door neighbour. Who could have dreamed that we could live in a luxurious tent in the Masai Mara - and have such neighbours - and at the same time receive service of top class. The food was very good (thanks to the Danish chef). The service was...

What a beautiful camp! Karen Blixen Camp has a perfect location on the bank of the Mara River. The tents are luxurious and have all the amenities including bath robes. A highlight was the outdoor shower. It was a delight to sit outside the main reception area and watch the resident hippos and other wildlife that came down to the...

We were sad to leave Karen Blixen Camp after five wonderful days. It’s a beautiful, nicely-situated camp setting with a relaxed atmosphere. Nice accommodations, comfortable bed, and small touches like terry cloth robes and slippers took tent camping to another level. Wildlife sightings well exceeded our expectations not only during game drives but also at the camp looking out over...

This was our first visit to Kenya and after careful consideration we booked our stay through tokenya.com and Southern Cross safaris. On paper, their services seemed to offer everything we were looking for: Comfortable accommodations, quality service, personal safaris, and bountiful wildlife. I am happy to say that our experience at Karen Blixen Camp exceeded our expectations! The camp is...

Karen Blixen Camp was an absolute highpoint in our visit to Kenya, September 2014. The Camp is beautiful, tents wonderfully appointed, food beyond compare, service impeccable and staff remarkable. Our thanks to Nicholas, Robert, Jerome, Dennis, Jonathon and Job, in particular. The "honeymoon tent" with outside shower was beautifully furnished and maintained. Karen Blixen Camp has a cooking school on...

Well, I was brought to tears at the end of my stay here... I just did not want to leave. All staff worked overtime to meet their guests' desires such as setting up bush dinners. The sound of the Masai throat singing at these bush dinners was an amazing experience. Can I take Dominic, my guide/driver home with me???? I...

I stayed at this camp for 3 nights with my husband for our honeymoon after climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro and we loved every minute of it! The grounds, the entire staff, the food, and the game drives exceeded our expectations! The grounds are very well maintained and eco friendly. The main lodge and outdoor seating area overlook the river, where we'd...

Gorgeous location - near a river used as water hole by tens of wildlife that were gathering on the opposite side of the camp every day. We'd have lunch watching giraffes, elephants, zebra, hippos, various monkeys. Each tent is tucked in to offer privacy and inside it's elegant and luxurious. The service is impeccable and the guides are very knowledgeable....

Superb in every way. This was our 3rd camp on a 13 day safari after already visiting Ngorongoro & The Serengeti (also amazing but very different). We loved the tents, spacious, very private & very comfortable. The bed was fantastic & nights were so quiet even being surrounded by so much wildlife. Food & service we could not fault and...
