About twenty minutes from the safari park (which is unbelievable and packed with wildlife), this sort of chalet hotel is very historical and beautifully presented. Big rooms, four posters, loads of space, great African atmosphere and a good bar with exceptional steaks. Fantastic - recommended without hesitation. 10/10 on all calls.

I was there for a simple espresso coffee and a cup of tea, I set in the bar with a friend and the waiter comes to ask us what we want to have without a menu. The order was simple, one espresso coffee and one cup of tea, but the surprise came when I went to pay the bill: 560...

What a terrific stay after some hit and miss lodging on the safari. A beautiful room, they made a fire for us which was great, mini bar was inexpensive, room and showers were terrific. And near to Nairobi's best attractions.

I am halfway through my 4 week stay at the Karen Blixen on business. I have to say that I am enjoying my stay however I find a few smalls things that annoy me. On a few occasions there has been no hot water for my morning shower.I find the bed very comfortable and have managed "a good nights sleep"...

As down town Nairobi is very hectic with a lot of traffic and in consequece chronically congested roads, being at Karen Blixen Coffee Garden & Cottages, regenerates all your senses and a all around well being comes about. Sitated in the middst of a wonderful exotic garden, the homy and at the same time elegant cottages, all fitted with a...

We stayed here three separate nights during our stay in Kenya. The first night was upon our arrival in Nairobi and it was unseasonably cold and rainy in September. The staff cheerfully built a fire and continually provided wood for us to make the cottage cozy. The rooms have the modern furnishings required, but the ambiance of colonial East Africa...

Our first 2 nights in Kenya were spend at Karen Blixen Cottages. What a way to start our Safari. The staff was very nice and the cottage was very spacious and comfortable. The breakfast by the pool was very nice and ready to made omlets were a nice touch. The bathroom was quite large . We had a very nice...

This is what colonial Africa was like back in the days. Everything about this place is period. Nice little cottages surrounded by exceptional garden setting. A perfect place to have a very tasteful lunch. My room was bright and clean. The room safe was broken. Getting the water temperature right was a challenge in the shower. Service was inconsistent (some...

This was a very pleasant stay to end our safari. Food was not outstanding, but staff helpful, grounds very nice, and rooms spare and elegant. Very nice bathroom, hot water, pressure, all fine. A nice gift shop with no pressure, but staff willing to say "that's from Nigeria" or "this isn't from Kenya" when it's not:) Evening had live local...

We loved spending a couple of nights here BUT our room was cold, why have a fireplace if they don't light the fire for you, or even lay it. At 1900 metres, evenings are chilly which is why they gave us a lovely small chiminiere next to our table at dinner in recognition of the temperature, but nothing in our...
