nice hotel from about 1930 with a lot of style and a nice garden- unfortunatley my room was stuffy and smelly -the furniture worn down . Food (pizza) was at best average but the breakfast was great on the plus side the serrvice was excellent . in summary -someone who wants to spent 160+ US per night for a lot... More

i am staying for 2 weeks in the Fairview hotel in nairobi hills with my husband and i highly recommand this one should you look for a place to be in Nairobi city center but still with the feel of being out in the country with lush gardens, scented air of the blossoms of the jacaranda tree (october), beautifull birds... The Fairview Hotel has a great reputation. It's nearly always fully booked, so I was pleased to get in for a short stay over the weekend. Everything is pleasant - no more than pleasant - apart from a very good breakfast. But at almost $200 per night, bed and breakfast, it certainly does not present a good value-for-money proposition. The... More

Thank you for taking the time to write although I do feel your rating is unnecessarily harsh. The rate you paid is $172 inclusive of breakfast, wifi, and 28% government tax. I am confident that, for a hotel of our standing which affords its guests the comfort of 5 acres of lush grounds in the middle of Nairobi, our rates... More

We stayed 4 nights at the Fairview as we traveled back and forth across Kenya. The staff was very friendly. The grounds of this hotel are just beautiful - making you feel like you're in a little oasis in the middle of the crazy traffic & noise of Nairobi. The rooms were just average - nothing special, but they were... More

Stayed here for two night before venturing out on safari. We were well looked after by the staff and found the range of venues to eat extrememly good. The area is well protected and we felt very safe at all times.

Stayed at the Fairview for two nights , one at the beginning and one at the end of our stay in Kenya. Both nights we were graciously welcomes and checked into our rooms. Easy to find, felt safe and had a good afternoon there. Great selection of food, good service and facilities. The shop is good but over priced! Easy access to town with the select few taxi drivers (Peter is my favorate driver, very switched on) Excellent airport service too. This is my second visit and it remains a valued location for... The Fairview is an excellent hotel. I stayed here twice during a recent business trip to Kenya. The first stay was excellent throughout. However, on the second stay I had persistent problems with mosquitos in my room (may have entered during room cleaning). The hotel is supposed to provide insecticide (plug-in's) in the room, however my economy room had none,... More

Its difficult to rate this hotel as it is very nice but I didn't feel like I was on holiday. We boolked it to chill for a couple of days after Safaris. This is an excellent hotel. Big and comfortable room, nice bed. The hotel is acrossed the Israel embassy, there is a lot of security, felt very safe and relaxed. Shower is hot and good, but wish there were shampoo instead of a soap for everything. Breakfast didn't make an impression, but dinner was good. But if I'd come back to... More
