A very nice property and beautiful grounds. The property is located across from an embassy so excellent security. We were there for a family vacation. The vibe of the hotel was more business than pleasure. My daughter and I sat by the pool for several hours and were the only people in the area not in business dress.

The hotel is right within the city yet quiet enough to hold serious, concentration-demanding meetings. The food especially the lunch is wonderful. The staff are really friendly and always on hand to assist when need be.

We stayed here 8 years ago before a safari and enjoyed the hotel so decided that our 2 nights in nairobi would be spent here too. Firstly the pros: 1) excellent breakfast with a huge selection of breads, meats, eggs cooked any which way in front of you, sushi, cereal, fresh fruits juice, fruits etc - 2) restaurants all very...

I have been staying at the Fairview two or three times a year (most recently in November 2016) for the last five or so years, for business meeting purposes. It is a wonderful and rather unique hotel, brimming with character, and the levels of comfort and service are exceptional. It sits on a plot in the midst of ministry and...

This decades old hotel has no glitsy amenities but it is a charming, quiet oasis. I do not think there is another hotel that is set on 5 acres that is lush with trees, flowers and a water feature. The rooms are comfortable, the service excellent. You can walk to downtown through Uhuru Park. If security is an issue for...

This is a strange hotel: sprawled over a significant piece of manicured earth, it is divided by a street so that rooms are in both sides of the divide. Security is very thorough (it is also located across from the Embassy of Israel with roadblocks) but the thought of losing my key (with which one opens at least 5 separate...

This had been my regular haunt 3-4 times per year from early 2008-end 2013 and was back after 3 years and a change of ownership. I was really pleased that nothing appears to have changed and the staff recognised me straight away - a great character to be found in Kenya. The rooms are still filled with character - polished...

Fairview Hotel is very unassuming at the front entrance but the rooms and the grounds are beautiful. The hotel rooms are perfect for business travelers with large rooms, a big desk, plenty of outlet plugs, and large closet spaces. The staff is very welcoming and always available to help when you need assistance. My only complaint is that because the...

I had been traveling for two weeks by the time I arrived at the Fairview. I was ready to go back to the states, but still had five more days of work in Nairobi. Staying at the Fairview made me feel almost home. The room was large, and had a small kitchenette. I loved having COLD water and the option...

I've stayed here multiple times this year while in Nairobi for work and it's been fantastic each time. The rooms and bathrooms are updated and impeccably clean. The food has always been delicious and service attentive without being overbearing. Being able to sit in the gardens while eating and/or working is priceless- much better than coming back from a long...
