Excellent hotel, very close to the business centre of Nairobi. Very friendly and capable staff. Breakfast is OK, enough choice. Two restaurants, serving good food, especially the Indian cuisine. Beautifull garden and swimming pool. Well equiped room with complementory mini bar and coffee/tea facilities.

Our first stop on a African safari trip, where we met our guides & fellow tour participants for orientation on what lies ahead the following weeks. The best in accommodations & staff.....very warm & spacious. And great nearby places of interest to visit.

Two one-night stays in Ocotber, 2016, before and after safari. It is a traditional, almost horizontal hotel (5 floors), in a low-rise area one block from city center. Magnificient swimming pool and nice gardens. Rooms are comfortable, spacious, complete, well maintained. Very good wifi. Breakfast is gorgeous. The restaurant offers a variety of cuisines, one will find many options. However,...

I have been using this hotel for years. You cannot beat the location of the Serena for business meetings in Nairobi. The lobby, lounge and pool area are perfect locations for meetings, including the resident's lounge, which is quieter. I stayed at the Villa Rosa last time, and while the property is newer and nicer, the location is not optimal...

Returned here after 6 years and service and staff are as great as I remembered last time. Could have stayed in one of the newer international hotels but remembered the service here. Also location is great and feels safe. Though property is older the employees are excellent, they acknowledge you in passing and are very attentive - they seem happy there....

I enjoyed my night stay, the staff were very accommodating, friendly and when i got 1 hour delayed in checking out due to a lunch, they was no problem. All-in-all a nice place to stay. The only issue i found was that it is a bit old and dated but good experience.

Arguably one of the best hotels in Nairobi. Service is generally efficient, professional & friendly. Breakfast is lavish & plentiful, offering a superb range of options: My favorite is the world class Kenyan coffee & steak (yes, in Africa, meat is regularly eaten (also) at breakfast. On 2 occasions I booked a car + driver; excellent service. On the downside:...

We had a night to kill in Nairobi and booked into the Serena between our safari and flying to Mauritius. This hotel is super, slightly nervy with security on the way in with car search and scanners and metal detector but then you realise because of that it's super safe. Very nice decor, it felt colonial in style and grand...
