Is it possible to take a three year old boy on safari? It is if you stay at the Emakoko Lodge. We combined a work trip from Europe with the chance to bring our son to Africa for the first time and after staying in Nairobi for a few nights, followed by a night at the Nairobi Tented Camp, we...

It was wonderful to have you stay with us and I am so pleased that you enjoyed the lodge. The government plans with the railway will undoubtably have an enormous impact on the park, thankfully for The Emakoko we are 4Km away from the proposed track. Having said this, Nairobi National park is extraordinary and we have been assured that...

This is a great homey lodge just outside of Nairobi National Park. I stayed here for two nights to relax, visit the Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage and see the wildlife of Nairobi National Park. The game drives were amazing. I saw rhino, lots of giraffe, waterbuck, eland, hartebeest, lion, zebra, many bird species and eagles. The hosts Anthony and Emma are...

A luxurious lodge with amazing food, and great safari guides. The rooms were very spacious and classy. The bathrooms were amazing, with both showers and luxurious bath. Would highly recommend staying here. Just wished we could have stayed longer!

My room and view were really, really something, very special. My driver/guide --Peter was great at his job and knew his stuff and made sure I enjoyed myself. I visited the elephant sanctuary, giraffe sanctuary, had a safari and all were enjoyable beyond belief. They also got me to the airport with time to spare. I would recommend to anyone......

We stayed here for one night before visiting other destinations in East Africa on safari. We had a lovely welcome from an English lady, who was charming and made us feel v welcome. We had been collected from the airport by a guide who drove us through the National Park where we saw, rhino, elephants, giraffe, zebra, ostrich and many...

Thank you for your review and apologies for our Hippo not making his appearance. We have had to discourage him of late as he has taken to appearing at the pool during the day, particularly when guests are about to make their way down to the sun loungers! Many thanks, Anthony & Emma

Positives: The view from the top rooms are incredible. We were in room 10 at the very top and off to the left of the property. The room was very spacious and it had a wall of windows, perfect for taking in the view. The bathroom area was great because it had double sinks, a bathtub that overlooked the landscape,...

Thank you so much for your review and and your very helpful feedback. We have, since your stay looked into the mattresses and have put in a 'pillow top' - so far it seems to be working and I apologise that this was not in place for your stay. We are looking into fans in the rooms, and also screens...

Meaning, you must go there! I stayed in May 2014. I can't even describe how hospitable the hosts were. We felt so welcome by them and the staff! When we drove in they were all waiting outside to meet us! That was such a lovely reception! The food was AMAZING! You'd pay top dollar for such food in a Nairobi...

Enjoyed another wonderful stay at The Emakoko. Can't say enough good things about the location, the main facility, our room, the wonderful and warm staff and the amazing owners, Emma and Anton. They joined us for a excellent dinner and it was like we had just been there instead of 3 years ago. It was fun to "catch up" as...

Returning from a super time in the Seychelles we were delighted to experience something different at Emakoko.
