I needed a place to stay the night before an early morning flight from JKIA. The Sheraton, Hilton, and Crowne Plaza we’re more than I wanted to pay, so I decided on Kozi JKIA. I called to her info, and the receptionist answered my call. In fact, I called another time or two, and my call was answered promptly. I booked through Expedia and then arrived by Uber. After checking in I walked to dinner at Maverick. I was told by several people that the side road was safe to walk, so I did just that. I returned when it was dark. The room was a nice studio, clean and brightly colored. The design and space were perfect for me. I would’ve even stay longer if necessary. The only challenge I had was the noise outside the room. It made me feel at times like I was in a college dorm. But, that wasn’t a big problem, especially for the less than $40 I paid to sleep for a few hours. Both receptionists were great. Overall good experience with the hotel. One note is that the Kozi shuttle to the airport is 1200 Ksh. I decided to risk finding an Uber at 2am the next morning. I’m glad I did! It was only 400-something Ksh. So, if you wanna save money for airport transportation, consider Uber.

I stayed for one night in Kozi Jikia at the end of July 2021. The place is very close to the airport and has everything what you would wish for during your stay. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They helped me and my friend to order the food from outside and arranged for us transport to the airport. The hotel is still under construction but the apartments we got were fully furnished and well equipped. The value price for quality was also excellent. Overall, I was very happy with the place and I will definitely return next time!
