Price is nice here (1000 KES for a single room, 750 KES for a 3-bed dorm). I stayed in the dorm, only me and nobody else, perhaps because this place is not too popular - not on hostelworld, maps.me etc. The room itself is OK, but the pillows are quite dark (luckily mine has a sheet). WiFi is available but...

I came across some reviews of this place on Tripadvisor. I have not stayed here for years, but it is great to see that not much has changed. This was "The Place" in the mid-late 80's and early 90's. Great spot to meet other travelers and learn about Africa. It helped me through my whole year long safari of Africa....

We spent 4 or 5 nights there and we almost enjoyed it. The rooms are really basic, almost clean but from a world traveller point of view it was fine. There is a common area where you can meet other travellers, and a kitchen...but really small and not really easy to use. The staff is nice, they helped us a...

I stayed there for many nights, during my travel trough Kenya. I get the information to go their from a German Book about Kenya. They wrote, that they are the oldest Hostel in town with a lot of experience, not expensive as well, so i choose them. The Taxi driver from the Airport try to convince me, not to go...

We trusted in this safari agency and b&b as it was mentioned in our Routard tourist guide that never betrayed us before...but never say never...as it has been the first time! The boss has been really friendly and professional at the same time when we were in contact through e-mail before getting in Nairobi! Once we get there we understood...

I stayed here for several nights and was very happy with it. It's conveniently located close to city center and local buses. The staff was always very cheerful and helpful with all kinds of information. There was always people hanging out in the living area and that was a great opportunity to share experiences for further down the trip. There...

Spent the night here with my girlfriend and we woke up covered from head to toe in bed bug bites. The place other people have described on here does not even sound like the same place. It has a convenient location for many things except sleeping. It is located in one of the noisier parts in Nairobi and a combination...

The New Kenya Lodge is a very basic hostel, and yet a recommendable choice for a short stay in Nairobi. It is very well situated on River Road in the heart of Nairobi, next to most of the overland bus stops (just across the Akamba drop off). There is a nice crowd of international travellers, and the staff offers free...
