I stayed here for two nights in June 2014 having booked it from Australia. The staff were helpful and the food was so reasonably priced that I went back after I had even stayed at the Kivi Millman Hotel down the road. They had some handy brochures and the staff could speak good English. The first night I was in...

I and my travel companion stayed in Milimani for several days at the end of July, 2014, and took a safari with them. For each: -- Accommodation: Totally sufficient and basic - with no problems. Value for the money (2,500 KSh for a double) seemed fine given the poor value of accommodation in Nairobi. -- Food: Food was very good,...

I stayed in the dorm at Milimani Backpackers for about one week before and after a safari. I used to stay at Upperhill Campsite/Backpackers, but it closed for renovations so I tried out this place. The dorm rooms are decent, but only about half of the beds have mosquito nets. I noticed that the place becomes substantially busier on Saturday...

I have never left a comment on Tripadvisor but decided to do so for the first time as my experience of the Milimani Safari centre was rotten. I went to Hells Gate and Lake Naivasha. While it was marginally cheaper than some of the more-established companies every corner was cut to save on the experience. First the tour left way...

I stayed at Milimani Backpackers for two nights on either side of a Maasai Mara Safari. I organised a transfer from the airport and was met by a representative at the arrivals hall. The accommodation is very cheap and free wifi is a bonus. They also run tours from the backpackers including city tours and safaris. Dorms were very empty...

I think back with fond memories of my trip to Kenya. Milimani backpackers has played a huge role in this. Emmediately when I arrived I just felt at home in this place :) The area is nice. The accomodation is good. The prices are fair. But those are not the reasons why I would return there. I would just return...

I stayed at Milimani for one night in a dorm. The staff was very friendly, and so were the other guests. The dorms are clean and cozy, with lockers and mosquito nets. I don't understand why you need to pay 100ksh to use the locker, even if you have your own lock. I only noticed three bathrooms in the whole...

I have stayed here on two occasions, the first time was in a private room and the second time was in a dorm. The private rooms are clean, comfortable and quite and so too are the dorms but the lounge area could do with a renovation, however, it's still in acceptable condition. I found the staff to be very friendly...

N.b. this review refers to the guest house in Oldeani Crescent. Milimani backpackers offers reasonable rates in very basic but comfortable rooms in a relatively quiet area of the city. They serve food, have a bar and organise tours. The staff is very friendly. Showers deliver warm (not hot) water. Wifi is available here but rather slow.

I found a lot of the reviews on Tripadvisor about this place a little off-putting but I was pleasantly surprised when we arrived. My partner and I shared a private double room and were happy with the cleanliness and presentation of the two rooms we stayed in although the showers are not hot no matter how long you wait. There...
