Stayed for 3 nights on a business trip. The hotel dates back to the 70s I think, but the rooms have recently been renovated. It is part of a hotel chain and has some characteristics of both a hotel chain (functional) and a charming old...More
Spent 2 nights with wife and son. First night we spent, we slept on single beds. Seemed like school bunkers. The hotel requires a facelift and renovations. The garden was waoh! Great flowers and superb greenery. Looks like it was borrowed to compliment the hotel....More

Hello,
Jomo Kenyatta Airport is just 20/30 min from this hotel depending on the time you leave. If your aircraft takes off at 08:00 AM, you probably have to leave the hotel at 06:00 and there is no traffic at that time... It will take less that 20 min to reach the airport.
I advise you not to consider taxi in the street. Do not forget there is a very big issue with security in Kenya and mainly in Nairobi where the situation is worst than in Johannesburgh... Ask the hotel to call an official taxi for you or a "limousine" even if it is 10/15 USD more... Maybe it is the price to pay to avoid very big troubles which could prevent you to catch your flight definitely.
Have a nice trip in Kenya. It is a wonderful country ! Even if the situation in Nairobi is complicated, people are very kind outside the city.
Cheers,
AG
