GPH really was an oasis in busy Cairo for this family of 4. Mum could drink Earl Grey by the pool listening to Hotel California, Dad could walk round the corner for the nearest ATM, and the kids could watch Starsky and Hutch to chill out. Breakfast was great , rooms large and very clean, staff friendly (especially the guy...

We have just come back from Egypt which included a 3 night stay at this hotel. Rooms were a reasonable standard and quite clean. We didn't have the music problem that others have had and we were facing the pool. The service at the front desk and in the restaurants was dismal though. It seemed as though all the staff...

We stayed three nights at the GPC, beg. of March 08. Room was on the 4th floor, with a view on the pool, and a balcony. It was clean, and bathroom was OK. After 6PM, music at the pool was really annoying. Moreover, a brifge is being built in front on the hotel, and the road conditions are awful (dust,...

Overall we had two positive experiences staying at this hotel. Like others you have posted reviews we stayed here as part of a tour. The first time we were on the third floor of one of the buildings. The room was very large and comfortable. The balcony had a great view over the pool area. However our first stay music...

Overall, this was the nicest hotel we stayed in for Egypt, and I left it with very good impressions. It is clean, expansive, and has many services. Walking back into this hotel after a week's experience in the rest of Egypt made us realize what a haven it is. It was great to return to the 5-star luxury of the...

We spent a total of 4 nights at this hotel as a part of our Peregrine Mummies and Pharoahs family tour. It was a comfortable hotel It was a good spot for seeing the Pyramids, Sphinx - but a bit of a taxi ride into central Cairo. The buffet breakfast was good, mostly the staff were friendly and pleasant. There...

My husband and I stayed here 4 nights over a 2 wk period in October. Quite frankly, each visit was different and I would hazard a guess that it has more to do with the work ethic of the cleaning staff then any management input. There were plenty of management types around but they were on their cell phones bragging...

Just back from Cairo, Egypt. Spent 3 days at Grand Pyramids and enjoyed it. It's far from city centre (35-40min by taxi, cost:40 egyptian pounds), but close to the Pyramids. The neighbourhood is not the best, but OK. The hotel is new, with big and clean rooms, nice shower, TV, mini-fridge and safety box. Staff OK, but services are a...

For Egypt this was a nice hotel, the service desk was reasonably helpful, the rooms were large and clean, the pool and restaurant were of good quality and the pyramids were only a 15minute walk away. It was a great way to experience the city life and culture of Cairo/Giza walking to the Pyramids.
