The hotel is average. Rooms are old and the hotel does't have any room service facility. Plus staff randomly open the rooms for no reason without knocking so keep the door locked every time when inside. The restaurants in hotel also has limited serving - although breakfast buffet is quite extensive. Only plus is the fact that there is a bank inside the hotel for money exchange.

This hotel/resort is located on the very outskirts of Cairo, surrounded by roads that are busy 24/7. Even getting to the place require interminable patience trying to find a U turn to get on the right side of the road. Once inside it has all the charm of a soviet era workers resort, only the weather is better. The accommodation is quite run down and the cleaning regime, particularly around the baths leaves a lot to be desired. The restaurant is well maintained, just a pity the food lacks variety and on most occasions lacks heat. A significant number of dishes were under cooked or served almost cold.
There is nothing here that could not be improved by more attention to detail if there was a will to do so. But for now this is a very average to poor hotel.

The only thing that pulled this review to a 2 was the friendliness of the staff and the pool. Staff were friendly and very helpful.

Pool looked lovely and clean well maintained and was very peaceful and relaxing.

The hotel itself looks like it hasn’t been updated since the 80’s. I arrived with my wife and first of all they put us in a room with two single beds. After a quick call to the desk they moved us quickly to a double room.

The aircon in the room did not work no matter what level you put the thermostat on it never cooled the room.

The WiFi in the room was awful and as we didn’t have an Egyptian mobile or data this was our only means of communication with guides in Egypt and outside world. The signal would constantly drop and when we raised this with the desk they would give the standard response “we will raise it with IT department” but nothing improved while we stayed. On our last day we could not connect at all only place it seemed to be working was reception.

The 24 hour food service looked like it was ordered from a local fast food resturant and didn’t look like it was prepared at the hotel. Arrived in food boxes with cling film over the trays.

Bathroom could have done with a bit of an update the showered head in both rooms we had been put in were green and needed a good clean.

If you are used to a 4 star hotel I’d say this isn’t one until they get things fixed and updated.

We can’t thank all the staff enough for our wonderful visit! Especially Sherif, Nests and Habiba, who went out of their way to make us comfortable and welcome!
The hotel caters perfectly for families and is so close to the pyramids it’s amazing!
The hotel rooms are well kept and the pool is incredible, although it could use some shaded areas for summer.
Thx agsin Sheriff! Such wonderful memories with my greater family in Cairo at your hotel.

This is the worst ever hotel I have ever been to( and I have seen 100s due to my travels). Rooms are very very dirty full of dead bugs, bathroom was full of black mildew and totally disgusting, food is sooooo bad and cheap. Moreover, the whole premises was run down, dirty and really baaaaaaad, upon checking out early and asking for my refund balance, they initially refused to refund me, then only the gm of the hotel, after 4 hrs. made my refund !!
All in all, do not ever set foot on this really bad, dirty and disgusting place. You will regret it I assure you

Great friendly staff, location, really pleasant and clean rooms, but the thing that makes this such a great experience and place to stay is the staff. All of the people there (the receptionists, concierge, staff at the pool, restaurant, housekeeping and the bellman) are incredibly helpful and generous with their time and advice. We travel every year with our four kids and lots of luggage and this has been one of the nicest places we stayed in the four weeks we were in Egypt.
The staff there treat us as family and above all with professionalism. I do recommend this hotel to everyone who wants convenience and hospitality.

This is a stay away hotel. This hotel is actually abandoned with many facilities are not accessible. It is very old and not well maintained. The bathrooms are old and dirty, not to say disgusting. The breakfast has the same croissant for the entire week, during 7 days they had fresh croissants for 1 day. The only restaurant for lunch includes mainly sandwiches. The prices for drinks and food for the level of the hotel are very high. For example the coffee is the same price with a 5 star hotel with view of the pyramids. I really don't understand how nowadays a hotel has a wifi that doesn't work. During 7 days we didn't have internet not a single day.

There were problems with everything, starting with check in, internet, smell, service, check out.
We have requested an ironing board which was never delivered.
The internet was cutting off every minute. We had to call IT guy to fix the connection. Had to call 5 times until the specialist appeared.
We had wrong billing at the check out.

As part of a tour of Egypt, my wife and I stayed twice at the Pyramids Park Hotel.
As you can see in other reviews, there are some renovations happening all across the hotel. We stayed in two different rooms, the 200 and 700 blocks, bookending a Nile cruise. In both cases the rooms were clean and had everything we needed. Perhaps, as others have mentioned the interiors needed some refresh, but the beds were comfortable.

For us the biggest advantage to this hotel is the proximity to Giza. This means less time in transit across Cairo especially with the heavy traffic in the area. This hotel will also be conveniently located to the new museum once it opens.

Regarding the food, both my wife and I were able to find something in the various restaurants. After spending over a week in Egypt in multiple locations I thought that the food was fine, however probably not up to the expectations of travelers that expected 5 star cuisine coming from Europe or America.

Lastly, I want to give special recognition to Mr. Sabry, the bell captain. He was extremely helpful and made sure that both my wife and I felt very welcome at the hotel even without the expectation of a tip, which is a big deal when visiting Egypt.

Regardless of the shortcomings, we will consider to return to this hotel the next time we visit Cairo to see the new museum.

Hi, yes but only in the public areas and it’s also a little erratic!! (The best WiFi we had was on the coach ferrying us about, but clearly that will depend on your travel arrangements) Bst regds, Dermot

It all depend on your budget. Meridian is closer to the pyramids and sphinx but we are talking about 1.5 km, not far at all. Just insist on the renovated rooms. May be they renovate all rooms now. Prepare a plan because in Egypt especially Cairo, there are lots of things need to be seen especially the Egyptian museum.
