If it were possible to rate this jewel of a hotel 6/5, we would. You will not find better service anywhere else. Everyone we had the pleasure of meeting was friendly, cordial, and went out of their way to make our stay memorable. We stayed in room #506, which we highly recommend due to it's size & brethtaking view of the pyramids. In our immaculately clean room, we had a mini fridge, an endless supply of bottled water, a great shower and a comfortable bed. The rooftop terrace, where you can eat and have refreshments, was spectacular! The included breakfast was delicious, offering a variety of options (fresh fruit, pastries, cheeses, cereal, eggs served as you wish, hash browns, etc etc). We chose to hire a private driver during our stay to save time & stress (driving in and around Cairo is chaotic, to say the least). Our driver, Gihad, was courteous, friendly and authentic, timely, and always "had our backs" ;) We always felt safe in the back of his beloved red mitsubishi. Our tour guides Ahmed Paulo & Mr. Abu Bakr were fountains of knolwedge and visiting the sites without them would simply not have been the same. Their passion for Egyptian history was contagious and their knowledge endless. All this was made possible by Mr Gamal, who treated us as friends. Upon our first meeting with Mr Gamal, where we found him waiting patiently in the reception area, to the very last encounter when he helped us load our luggage in the car, we were treated as family. His patience and flexibilty made our stay in Giza absolutely memorable. We look forward to returning to Egypt, and without a doubt staying at Mamlouk Pyramids Hotel. 100% recommend!

300m from sphinx entrance but in the alley so you don't hear and smell street( animals etc.). Great tarace on the 6th floor( higher building then other in neighborhood) so has amazing view on all pyramids and sphinx! WOW. Clean and specious rooms, big bathroom, big water heater with good water pressure in the shower, very good breakfast, comfortable beds in triple room (90 usd per night) queen size ( could sleep two adults easily), no problem to accommodate 4 p. family in triple room. I was in other hotel in neighborhood and it wasn't even close with standard (cheaper couple bucks but...).

We stayed for two nights and booked a junior suite. Room was lovely and spacious with good shower, comfy but firm bed. We also had a nice balcony which we could sit and gaze at the Pyramids. Plus in the room we had loads of storage space. We opted for half board as knew that after two days of walking around the museum (30 min taxi away) Sphinx and Pyramids, that we wouldn’t want to stray too far in the evening. The evening meal was surprising good, and served on the roof top terrace with a view of, you’ve guessed it… not loads of choice but at least it was freshly prepared, well presented and tasty and not a buffet as feared. That said the breakfast was a buffet and that was also very good. Staff were friendly, helpful and polite, all spoke or understood English. Looking around the area I would say this is the best hotel in the area if you want that all important view.

We booked last minute after another hotel canceled our reservation 25 hours prior to our arrival. Booked suite with balcony and panoramic views. We were put in room 208, which was far from we could see the top half of 1 pyramid, and couldn't complain since it was last minute. The room was spacious, clean, and bed was comfortable. After settling in, we went to the rooftop restaurant to watch the sun set over the giza plateau. We seated ourselves, and waited. And waited...I got up and asked for menus and to order drinks. Menus were brought, we looked, closed them, looked around, waited, waited.. We waited another 20 min or more, when I got up and told one of the very idle servers we were ready to order. We got 1 drink each (mine got knocked over, and I had to find him and got another) and our food finally showed up. It was delicious, and we enjoyed the light show, but never were able to ge t more drinks. Bear in mind, these aren't alcoholic drinks, they do not serve any alcohol. Some time after the light show, I had to again find someone to get the check. We slept well, and road noise was muffled well. Woke up to shower, and got about 3 min of water. Then it stopped. After messing with switches and different faucets, water finally flowed again. Breakfast buffet was good, we checked out and had to leave bags in their storage for a tour. Got back from tour early and had about 3 hours before our ride would show up for our nile cruise and airport transfer, we had a 3am flight. We decided to have a light snack and watch the activity from the roof again, as we were not sure where else to go. We sat down, and nothing. Again. I finally found someone and told them we wanted a couple drinks and to order an appetizer. 1 of the very idle servers came by, took drink orders, brought drinks, and never returned. There was 1 large group, 1 other 2 person group, a single woman and us. There were 5-8 servers, chefs, workers, etc milling about and still could get no ones attention even as our glasses sat empty for another 20 min. No light snack, no refill, but they were well aware of our irritation, as the single woman got up and told them we needed service. I was mad and packing our items off the table when a man I presume is the manager came over and acted as if we were out of line for expecting to order food. He asked if we wanted to order now, and I told him it was too late for that and would be leaving a detailed review of our treatment. If this is the way people in Cairo treat their paying g customers we will never return.

This hotel is located right in front of the pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx. Although the area is not so clean and not so quiet the hotel itself is very good. Overall the hotel is clean and the staff very kind and smiley all the time.
Room was nice with balcony but partial view of the pyramids. Housekeeping should be more attentitive because not everything was so clean. Beds were comfortable but the pillows not so good. Wifi was not working so well and the cups were all different. Bathroom was ok but the water was almost cold. I ask to take care of it. They did but still water remained slightly hot. The hotel restaurant is on the terrace with amazing views of Pyramids and the staff very good and smiley. I had the bbq pizza which was great and they offered me a special drink for my birthday. Thank you!!! Breakfast was good with plenty of choices and it was amazing having it with the view of pyramids. The hotel was also decorated for christmas which was nice. Overall a very good experience and recommended hotel

I recently had the pleasure of spending 10 nights at the Mamlouk Pyramids Hotel. As a regular traveler to the area I have stayed in many of the other hotels around the Pyramids and I can tell you the Mamlouk is the best by far. It’s clean. Had an amazing rooftop restaurant with great views and food. Reba who runs the reception desk goes to the next level to ensure you have a great experience.

Location is perfect, the view of the Pyramids from your room and the top floor is breathtaking. People at this hotel are very friendly and kind. Mohammed who picked up us from the airport and drive us in a tour is very nice, speaks great English, very helpful as well as Gamal, the manager, who made the arrangements the tour in Cairo and Luxor for us, from the transportation at the Luxor airport and tour. Once we arrived to Luxor they kept in contact with us to make sure we were safe. I can't say enough how they treat us, and we are very happy and thankful with everyone in this hotel. Don't hesitate to book with them. Safety is very important. My only recommendation for Cairo is to NOT take taxi, arrange with the hotel or take Uber that works perfect and won't drive you around to charge 4 times more of what you arranged before to take the taxi, please take Uber. Thank hotel Mamlouk!

What a location, you will wake up to the greatest view of the Pyramids and the Sphinx in all of Giza. The top floor restaurant is a must were you will see the night time light show across the Pyramids. The rooms are perfect for the price, most with balconies with spectacular scenery, but, what really makes this hotel stand out is Jimmy, (Gamal). Jimmy is the most welcoming of hosts with great knowledge of all of the amazing sites across Egypt, many you may not have heard of, he advised us when we travelled to Luxor to visit Dendera Temple and the tomb of Nefertari in the Valley of the Queens, often overlooked, the absolute highlights of our trip. As independent travellers he helped us arrange our flights and our other hotels, he also provided us with, I think, the best driver in Egypt, Ahmed, or as we called him Jason Statham. We were so happy staying at this hotel that we returned for our last day and night before returning to London. Jimmy also provided us with the most lovely packed lunch as BA now treat 5 hour flights as short haul.
I should add we were treated as family including thrashing us at backgammon lol.

The food was absolutely amazing! The view from the rooftop resturant was stunning. We watched the pyramids and Sphinx light show every evening from the resturant. The room was clean and good air con system with remote control. Excellent location, you walk outside and round the corner to get tickets Entrance to the pyramids and Sphinx. The only down side was i was expecting a better view from our room balcony. Could only see pyramids if on the balcony and looking to the distant right. The view just looking out from straight on is the city, although we booked panoramic pyramid view room. The drinks were also extremely expensive (we are now staying at Hilton Cairo and to our amaze they have cheaper drinks!) But other than this, was an amazing stay in a lovely hotel with very nice staff! I would definitely come again.

Can you purchase wine or beer near the hotel as I understand you are unable to buy any in the hotel bar.

You can't buy any of this at the hotel. I had some wine and other % from duty free as it was my first two nights. I don't know is there is any alc shop near the hotel. You have to look for "Drinkies" shop. There are a lot of them i downtown Cairo but in Giza , i don't know.
