LIKED:
Pre-arrival, they were always quick to answer my questions. They have a welcoming and friendly staff, and gave us complimentary welcome drinks upon arrival. They provided a good exchange rate at reception. The room was clean and small (this was known). Towels and toiletries were provided. No view from our room (also known), but the rooftop view was amazing! Location also great, right infront of Pyramids plateau. They have no elevator, and several steps of stairs. But their staff is helpful to bring the luggage up/down. The nights at the rooftop were a bit chilly (we went in February), but they had flame heaters available to cater that. Refrigerator was available in the room, but we didn't use it. There was hardly any noise in the corridor. They also accepted my request for a 1 hour late checkout. Dinner was good and fresh, its in the reasonable to expensive range. Breakfast was good but basic. Good for the price.
DISLIKED:
The Wifi is indeed horrible, but that is somewhat true for most places in Egypt. There was no hanging in the room, which should be improved. There were no slippers in the room, even though advertised, but I didn't ask for it either. Our first breakfast didn't start on time. It was 15 minutes late, and the coffee was even 15 minutes later. I understand the first part, because they only bring breakfast when you come at the restaurant, but coffee should be provided with the breakfast. There was no soap in the bathroom, so we had to use shower gel all the time for cleaning hands. There was no tea in the room as advertised. So I requested for it, and then it was provided. After two family members had shower with warm/hot water, and then waiting for around 3 hours, I had to shower with somewhat cold water. This was quite irritating.

I was fortunate to have been able to dine at a few places whilst in Giza and I chose here as one of two places specifically as it seemed to have a great view of the pyramids and I could also watch the Euro’s. The food and drink were great and very well priced. The clear win here is the view of the main three pyramids over sunset.

Priceless location, in front of the ticket office of the archaeological complex, with a superlative view (from the lovely terrace) of the Pyramids.
Friendly and helpful staff.
Spartan rooms as per category, but sufficiently comfortable and still clean.
The food is brought in from restaurants in the area, with rather slow service, so if you eat at the hotel, order early.
The breakfast is a very sad note: we were expecting a good Arabic breakfast but most of the products are packaged and of poor quality.
Meals are served on the terrace; in winter it can be cold in the evening and early morning, so it is necessary to cover up.

Amazing hotel and amazing price! For $20 for the two of us we had a room right in front of the pyramids-the room had heat and AC, hot shower and towels, a tv, nice bedding and beautifully decorated.

The patio had hookahs available, food for purchase and free buffet breakfast. The staff was very very friendly and incredibly helpful. Everything about this hotel was absolutely the best, we would definitely recommend anyone coming to the pyramids to stay here.

The staff helped us with everything we needed and made our stay very comfortable and friendly.
This hotel is better than the ritz Carleton!! Stay here for sure!

As I write this review of the Sahara pyramids inn from my hotel in Dubai, I will say that I’m used to staying in nice places. This place was honestly not too bad! The area may be a bit sketchy, but most of Giza is! The hotel is directly across the street from the Pyramids and the roof top restaurant is the perfect location to take selfies with the pyramids in the background. When I arrived, my room was not ready (they were taking extra precautions to clean it according to Covid standards), but we were directed to the rooftop restaurant on the 4th floor and given a welcome drink. The staff was very nice, friendly and helpful to us. They even charged our phones for us while we waited for our room. We stayed in room 402, which faced the pyramids. The room was not too bad, it was clean and stocked with water. At night we went back to the rooftop restaurant to watch the light show and it was very cold (I didn’t expect it to be so chilly) and the staff plugged up a heater for us to use while we watched the show. We only stayed one night but it was a pleasant experience!

I recently stayed at the Sahara Pyramids Inn in Cairo, and unfortunately, my experience was not what I had hoped for. While the hotel is located in a convenient location near the Pyramids of Giza and other tourist attractions, there were several issues that left me feeling disappointed.
Firstly, the room I was given was not clean was super small and had NO (correct) window. The sheets were stained, the bathroom was dirty and small, and there were hairs on the floorand on the sheets.
Secondly, the Wi-Fi in the hotel was not existing and the only place with a wifi was the lobby at the ground floor. As a traveler who relies on the internet for work and staying in touch with friends, this was a significant issue for me. I was unable to get much work done and had trouble making plans for the day due to the poor internet connection.
Additionally, the breakfast provided by the hotel was a nightmare. The food was not fresh, and the selection was limited, leaving me feeling unsatisfied and hungry. The breakfast in the photo is definitely not the one we got. Additionally there was not proper staff to serve, when we entered the roof where breakfast was supposed to be served there was absolutely nothing indicating a closed place. After inquiring some very young staff they brought us something to eat which was way different from the photo. The staff seemed disinterested and unhelpful, making for an overall terrible breakfast experience.
Lastly, the noise level in the hotel was quite high, making it difficult to get a good night's sleep as. The walls were thin, and noise from the street and neighboring rooms could be heard clearly throughout the night. This made for an uncomfortable and restless stay.
I would not recommend this hotel to travelers looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay in Cairo.

Upon our arrival in Giza we had a problem with the hotel we originally booked and they were overbooked. So our driver took us to this beautiful hotel with an amazing location! 😊
Tamer welcomed us warmly at 2am and gave us a room with a breathtaking view of the pyramids!
The room was spacious, clean and great shower! Everything we needed and more.
The service was impeccable!

We definitely recommend this property to friends and family coming to Giza!

Sending much love to the Sahara Pyramids Inn team!
Pedro & Carolina.

The most disgusting hotel I’ve ever been too. Filthy rooms, rusted and dirty bathroom, curtains that are half fallen off, pillows made of stone, beds so hard plywood would have been more comfortable and the comforter smelled like death. The breakfast offered a dog wouldn’t eat it. Its an embarrassment to Egypt and should be shut down immediately. They refused to refund us the money for the extra nights we booked (we slept one night out of three). They kept saying that they couldn’t do it. The staff were unprofessional and rude. The Koran played for hours on the speaker (we are staying at a hotel not a mosque for the love of God), and when I politely suggested that maybe we can hear something else , he said you must hear the Koran in the morning!!! We are Egyptians and haven’t been in egypt for 22 years and it was appalling and nauseating to say the very least.

The Sahara Pyramids Inn is very deceiving, the only thing correct about its images and description is that you do get a great view of the pyramids which my family and I were promised but ended up given a room with a view of some ally which was already a disappointment. lets move on to the room, the room was not clean. There were stains on the sheets and dirt markings all over the walls, including a dirty hand print..the door to the bathroom was something of a barn door that didn't even close shut. I have to say tho, the staff was extremely nice and accommodating, I almost felt bad not staying until our appropriate check out time because the staff really did care, that being the only good take away.
