We stayed at Hayat for a week and our overall experience was very positive.

Checking in it was late at night but Samir at reception was very friendly and polite. He took us to the roof to see the view and to tell us about the basics (wifi, reception, breakfast, tour options) No hassle, just information.

He gave us two options for a room: the one we had booked or another one with a window. The windowed one had a funky smell so we chose the windowless option.
The room turned out to be a bit too cold though, and the AC heater didn't work.
The staff was very helpful and gave us a radiator to use which helped a bit.

Here we get to the best part.
The service at the hotel is exceptional! They will help you with anything you need, be it fresh bottled water (free of charge), operating the ATM across the street or getting an ice cold beer from a nearby market. We used a lot of Uber and the staff always offered to help spot the correct car for us and we were always greeted with big smiles and warm handshakes coming back to Hayat after a day in Cairo.

Eventually we found out it was much more difficult to wake up in the morning in a room with no sunlight so we asked if we could upgrade to one with a view. The older gentleman (who I suspect to be the owner), Gamal, was very forthcoming and offered to move us to a Pyramid View room free of charge! Here we felt comfortable and no problems whatsoever.

What in my opinion could be improved are the facilities and overall cleanliness. Also the breakfast was unfortunately not that good or varied, even though the falafels were among the best I had in Egypt.
We didn't eat lunch or dinner at the hotel.

We did, however, use their tour services getting to Alexandria. Gamal arranged us a trip for the next day and set us up with a guide and everything. The guide, Mahmoud Emam, was very professional, enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the sites we visited and I would highly recommend you ask Mahmoud to be your guide when making trip reservations.

The view at the rooftop is probably the best in Giza. You see the Pyramids & the Sphinx in all their glory and it is a pleasure to just observe the going-ons on the street level below.

What I noticed and feel is very important to mention is that IF YOU HAVE ANY ALLERGIES, make sure to get your medication with you or think twice about staying in Giza!
Because the hotel resides in the immediate vicinity of the Pyramids ticket offices, there are literally dozens of horses, camels, cats, dogs, donkeys, cars, dust and pollution in the streets in front of the hotel every day and I had some rough times when getting back to the hotel. Keep this in mind & take care of your health accordingly!

All in all, I think it's a great value for the money you pay. If you're not looking for the isolated experince of major 5* hotel chains, then Hayat is a great and authentic option for a place to stay.

Hotel is average and staff is friendly they help you in all the way they can. It is well placed if you want to be around pyramids. Overall service is average food is fine but expensive. If you are looking for wifi then opt some other hotel as most of us who are looking for wifi are sitting on stairs to get connected. The view from terrace is amazing. There are restaurants nearby from where you can dine......Overall its average hotel and normally these are kind of hotels you find in Giza. We asked for Pyramid view room they promised but never turned up. Support staff is good and cooperative although they fixed room TV after 2 days. So from staff support side it is good, but overall in term of facilities it is average hotel......

Stayed for 2nights here recently and what can I say? customer service is excellent 👍🙌!! Everybody was accommodating and helpful in any way they can and we feel like family! The best view I can say, we hanged out at the roof top sipping on our cappuccino on a cold weather while watching the pyramid light show, PERFECT LOCATION! Our rooms are clean. Also the chef and his family were friendly! Breakfast was good 👍! Hashu helped us with the luggages to the room and gave us portable heater, thank you. The guy who receive us in the reception was helpful in all our questions and needs, can’t remember ur name but thank you! Also the papyrus store next to the hotel gave us great deals cos we stayed in a Hayat, so go check it out!! We have to leave early in our check out day and Samin gave us breakfast boxes with water to go, really appreciate that! Not all hotels are like that! Thank you guys 🌈🙌..

Upon arrival to the airport, we were greeted by our very patient and safe driver named Sayed who waited for an hour and a half for our delayed flight.

We arrived at The Hayat Pyramid View and were greeted by Samir who was very friendly and spoke English very well. Samir took us up to enjoy the beautiful night view of the pyramids and talk about our plans for tomorrow. We told him the sites that we would like to see for our group of 6 and came to a compromise with our budget.

The next morning, it was breath taking to wake up to the amazing view of the three main pyramids right outside our window. We went to the roof patio and was greeted by our friendly and talented waiter Hamudi who later took lots of beautiful photos of us after our meal. The breakfast was delicious and the service was amazing!

Our very safe driver picked us up at 9am with Egyptologist Nasser. Nasser spoke English well and was very kind, protective, patient, honest and informative. Nasser ensured that we were well taken care of and didn’t get taken advantage of by the pushy street vendors. He took us to a reputable restaurant called Sakkara.

In the evening, we enjoyed a beautiful English speaking light show and informative presentation that is best seen from the Hayat.

We cannot thank the staff at The Hayat Pyramid View enough for everything they have done! The hotel is a little dated but we paid for the view and the experience and it was well worth it!

The Hayat Pyramids View is in a genuinely stunning location. The hotel picked us up from the airport after a punishing 2am arrival. We got up in the morning feeling a bit bleary, but were all stunned at the view from the terrace in the sunshine - see photo. After each day’s sightseeing, we all loved relaxing with delicious freshly cooked Egyptian meals in front of the pyramids sound and light show.

Samir and the team worked so hard to make sure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. This is a very friendly hotel with a unique view of one of the wonders of the world.

Definitely go here and stay NYE. Best VIEW OF PYRAMIDS & party on the terrace! Food, dance show, DJ, alcohol, fireworks is all included with your stay! Such a friendly staff, esp Mr. Shah Akbar! 😃 They treated us like family. Enjoyed the 2 tours we booked thru them. They will recommend which tours to do based on your time there so give them your itinerary. They will bargain with you in a friendly way; ask for the best deal. Buy oils & papyrus paintings from their store next door. Cheaper than buying it while on your tour. Felt safe the entire time. They walk me to Pizza Hut arnd the corner AND delivered it to the room. Upgraded my in-laws’ room when the shower couldn’t be fixed. It’s so budget friendly for the amazing view. Good, clean rooms. It’s a very local, normal people, down to Earth type of hotel and atmosphere, which we loved. Definitely recommend it. We will go back if we have a chance.

The view of the Pyramids was amazing. There is a Pyramid show starting at 19:00 (evening) and you can see it from the open area - roof of the hotel. The breakfast was good. The staff was excellent, ready to help you with everything. Mr. Gamel the reception manager was so nice and happy, as well as Samir which made the check out. Mr. Saber the restaurant manager was also very cheerful. Last but not least Asur & Muhammed the grooms were very gentile. The room was also comfortable, I stayed 2 nights. The only negative point was that sometimes there was a bad smell in the room. (r. 309) Be careful outside of the hotel, within 1 minute walk there is the entrance of the Giza Pyramids. There are a lot of people there telling you that they are working but you can tell them that you are fine and that you will buy your ticket alone. My recommendation is not to pay extra to enter the Pyramid because it is just dark and there is nothing to see inside. You can pay just the entrance and take pictures of the view. A lot of people will come to "help you" and "guide" you. If you want them to do that, they just want some tips at the end. Personally the one that took us pictures and explained us the history of the Pyramids told us "to give him whatever we wanted". So that was Okey but some of them demand money. That's why you have to be careful.

The hotel is very near the Pyramid of Giza. The rooftop has an amazing view of the pyramids. You can admire the beauty and wonders of the pyramids while you are having breakfast or dinner. The staff at the dining area at the rooftop are all good.

With regard to the hotel room, I am not satisfied with the cleanliness. The pillows had no pillow protectors and you can actually see the pillow cases are dirty, needs washing. I had to use the duvet to cover the pillows because I did not want to use them just like that. Even the bathroom is not so clean. I always bring disinfectant wipes so I had something to use to clean it.

This is probably equivalent to a 3 star hotel in UK but 3 star hotels in UK are much cleaner.

If you want a good view of the pyramids, this hotel is good but if you want comfort then perhaps you can look somewhere else.

This is a Hayat not a Hyatt! My mistake when booking. All the hotels in this area are small boutique hotels. If you want 4/5 star hotels it won’t be here. I arrived at 2 am in the morning down windy unmade up streets. My first thought on arrival was “what the h**l have I done!”. This is clearly not a 4 star hotel more like a 2.5-3 stars. It would be very easy to pick faults with the hotel but when you turn up to breakfast (which was excellent Mediterranean food) and you are look directly at the Sphinx (so close you could almost touch it) with the three Pyramids towering above you, all is forgiven. That experience every meal is worth an extra star. The hotel appears to be family run and they will get you anything you want. The tours they organised were excellent with a private guide and not overly expensive (while with him I was not harassed by locals). Having chatted to other tourists staying here and other hotels I gathered that this is one of the best if not the best hotel in this area (with the Pyramid views). It also has one of the best if not the best views of the Pyramids and Sphinx. I came to Egypt to spend new year outside the Pyramids hopefully with some fireworks. This hotel delivered the experience I wanted with spades. There is a clear choice here to either choose a more luxurious hotel and come to the Pyramids on a tour, or stay locally and get the full daily Pyramid experience, but to do so you have to lowers your hotel aspirations slightly.. for me, I am happy that I made the right choice. I enjoyed my holiday here immensely. Oh yes, the pillows were excellent and plenty of them (this is a real bug bearer of mine, so many hotels are bad at this). Oh yes and I got a free Pyramid light show every night.

This is an affordable place, with an amazing view from the rooftop & clean rooms. However, the rooms need maintenance and renovation as some things are broken or faulty.
Ahmed gave a warm welcome, too, but we did feel rushed to pick and pay for a pyramid tour on arrival before we could settle and think after a long journey.
Most members of staff were great, but a few seemed indifferent when we needed help (e.g. fixing the room).

See it for free from terrace if you don't want to hear everything and just enjoy the lights. 7-8p show is in English and 8-9p show is in Arabic. We are not into that stuff anyway so we didn't mind that we could not hear all of it. However, if you are a history buff
