If you just need a nearby place to sleep before your tour to Giza pyramids, this is an OK place. If you expect anything more than that, you would be disappointed :) Pros (5 stars for these points): Distance to the pyramids - this hotel is just across the ticket gate, so you can go to the pyramids early morning while it's empty & get good photos. Breathtaking view to the pyramids from their rooftop - breakfast, dinner, and billiard with pyramids in your background is quite unforgettable. Friendly staff (I do find they are genuinely helpful. I don't see any tricks or rudeness as some comments said). Cons (1-2 stars): Almost non-existent wifi (on - off, and very slow when on). Quality of room cleaning (Left our 2 rooms all day & came back to both not being cleaned at all. When asked for it to be cleaned, it was done poorly). Poor maintenance (broken light, broken door handle, dirty electronic kettle). Overpriced meal in their restaurant. Recommendation: Stay 1 night before your Giza tour. First / arrival day: familiarize yourself with the surrounding. Get mesmerized by the view from the rooftop, enjoy your afternoon / evening at the rooftop. Second / last day: Breakfast at their rooftop overlooking the pyramids. Go to the pyramids at 08.00 AM right after they open. You will leave as a satisfied tourist :)

Stayed with family in December for pyramid view . Stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. The reception staff not that good at English They confused me on first day itself for exchange rate of dollar as we have to pay in dollars , but change will be given in egp. Few important points to be noted - they try to extract maximum money and was not at all service oriented - 1. Don’t hire the taxi of the hotel.. on first day itself , they sent a taxi ( may be the driver known to hotel) saying that it’s free.. the taxi driver when receiving us already accepted to take a foreign ( USA) guest along with us in car. He took two cars and made me sit with other foreigner in the second car. I thought he is to the same hotel. But the driver left him at the pyramids area and don’t even take him to the hotel , took money from him. And at hotel he told the hotel staff that our luggage not sufficient in one car , so I need to pay for other car. 1 st class cheater 2. Don’t book any tours from hotel.. I was advised by friends to book tours from hotel . But when I went there he is quoting almost thrice the price outside. When we met an Indian guest there , who was checking out while we are checking in, the hotel staff tried distracting both of us, so that we should not communicate each other. The guest told us all about the hotel staff and the prices 3. Food upstairs were very costly almost 4 times. 4. All staff or people in the surrounding hotel constantly bother you .. I wanted a birthday cake and just asked the hotel reception. They told they don’t know where bakeries are.. there came the taxi person and told that it is just 10 min in car and quoted 150 EGP.. I ignored him , and suddenly other person beside him told that he will show me the bakery nearby. I was surprised, how the taxi person lied , it is just 2 min walk on the main road and can be easily found if one can just walk out. Then the boy who showed me bakery came inside. I told thank you and tried to send him. But he sticked on to me and just irritated. I can see prices on the cakes written in Arabic . It was 65 EGP, but this boy was telling 100. The bakery person any way quoted exact price.. After buying, the boy was asking tip . I gave 10 EGP.. he told it is very less and demanding 50 EGP.. to hell with these boys and their help.. I hated these people most ..when some one in Egypt trying to be nice to you . Don’t believe, realise that, they are after your money. Can you believe for showing a bakery , he demanded 50 egp. 5. If you accidentally book in this hotel , don’t give a penny extra and be careful.. all the people in hotel and nearby hotel try extract maximum money

We stayed here while visiting the pyramids. Pros: -Our room had an amazing view of the pyramids and there were even more amazing views from the rooftop -The staff here was all very friendly. They will try pretty hard to upswell you a tour, but it seems like every person we encountered in Giza was trying to sell us a tour. -We could walk straight to the pyramids. The entrance is only like a block away and then once you enter there’s a moderately long walk to get to the actual pyramids but there are plenty of camels and horses if you want to pay for a ride. Cons: -Rooms were in need of an upgrade -Everything felt kind of dirty -The A/C was leaking -There were only 2 plugs in the room and one had the TV plugged into it and the other had the fridge plugged into it. We just unplugged the TV/fridge to charge our phones. -The bars of soap in the bathroom were wrapped but still looked like they had been used before. -The breakfast was in a nice setting on the rooftop with a view of the pyramids, but the food had tons of flies swarming around and most of the food wasn’t kept hot. Personally, I just skipped the breakfast to be safe. Overall, if you’re looking for a cheap place to stay with great view of the pyramids and don’t mind a few inconveniences, then I would book here.

We stayed here for 4 nights. We were warmly greeted by Ahmed and the GM. All staff were super friendly and made us feel very welcome! The hotel has incredible views of the pyramids and the sphinx from the roof top and I think this is what most travellers stay here for! You can't top those view. The hotel itself requires some maintenance and care. The rooms were large but need to be restored. The breakfast is questionable and after the first day we avoided it as there weren't many options. Hygiene also needs to be considered. Overall the hotel staff and the views is what makes this hotel. I can't praise Ahmed enough. He and my daughter got on so well! I'd recommend that Hayat Pyramids for the views and the warm hospitality received from the staff - they treated us like family. Thanks for a great stay Uncle Ahmed! From Emaan!

The hotel has one of the best views of the Pyramids in Giza, witching walking distance of the Pyramids, hotel staff are friendly and helpful. Just one think left is sour taste for me, hotel driver Mohammed, his dishonesty surprised me, very friendly at the beginning, always planing to rip tourist if at the hotel, whilst staying there he got me a local Egyptian SIM card stated the price was 530 Egyptian Pounds, did question thought that would be right price, paid him, than get invoice from Vodafone the actual price is 302 Egyptian Pounds. Also booked overnight train from Cairo/Giza to Luxor price $120 US dollars, correct price, he stated no tickets are available, but he’ll get the ticket for me but commission has to be paid the ticket seller, extra 135 Egyptian Pound he charged me, stated it was for the person selling the ticket at the train station, when I made enquiries regarding ticket, I was informed plenty of tickets are available for overnight train to Luxor. Very disappointed about Mohammed (Drivers) conduct, his the only think that let the hotel down, guess his mind set is screw the tourist at the hotel.
