That said, the hotel might at first sight be a bit daunting for some travellers particularly arriving at night. It's dark, the road to it has no obvious landmarks and the lobby and lifts come across as shabby and in need of updating. In sum, if when travelling abroad your bag is the comfort and safety of the anonymous international chain - and there's nothing wrong with that, there are cities and circumstances when that's the sensible option - then this won't be for you. And it might not be a first time in Cairo option either. But for a bit of adventure and all the pluses in the first paragraph above, this is well worth a punt. I'm definitely using it as my base for my trips to Cairo.
The hotel can offer a lot bt somehow they are not exactly aware of the same. Except the front desk manager no one speaks English. Should have an English speaking person in each dept.
Food menu is basic but good. Taste is pretty Arabic.
Cleanliness is an issue, inside the rooms it's satisfactory but in the lobbies is not up to d mark.
The linen is clean
Value for money.
Room tip: go for the higher floors, if available insist on the full nile view rooms, you ll enjoy the evening drink for sure.
All in all can give a conservative 7/10.

Staying with family in Cairo we just wanted a base to sightsee and grab some peace.
We paid £115 for 5 nights in a superior double which was on the banks of the nile.
13 floors up it was like being on a cruise ship
Nothing was too much trouble for the staff.
The room was comfortable quiet and very clean.
The food was delicious and very cheap...a greek salad the size of a dustbin lid was £1
Breakfasts enormous.
We also had room service and it was all the same good quality.
We were able to acess all the sites and taxis were easy to find and £2 a journey
I would recommend this hotel
adequate. Staff very friendly.
Arranged trip to pyramids with Mohammed the driver who took care of everything - recommend if you want to get around Cairo ask for him as he was great nothing to much trouble.
Great value and a real experience.
There are different types of rooms with different price range, when you reserve ask the reception to take a look at the rooms and choose which suits you.
WiFi is only available at the lobby, where there is also a printer and a scanner to be used on a fee per page.
To save money, there is a small store right next to the hotel's entrance to buy water and snacks.
"Ask for a high floor with a Nile view. It's Cairo, so there will be noise until 2am regardless so put up with the party boats on the river but at least get the view (the back will still get the noise!)."Read full review
