Traveling independently in Egypt rather than on a group tour, we took a leap of faith and booked the Hotel Longchamps based on positive online reviews and the hotel's own website. You win some and you lose some. The Hotel Longchamps was definitely a loser. The hotel repeatedly mixed up our reservation dates requiring many emails to sort out. Next,...

Arriving at the hotel and seeing the ofiice building like entrance had us feeling a little aprehensive about our choice. Getting off the elevator and meeting Hebba and the staff soon calmed our nerves. The staff was great. Hebba is a force of nature. The rooms were fine. The terrace with full bar service was a haven that we looked...

we found the hotel's website and booked directly with them. The owner, Hebba, was the one with whom we corresponded. They could arrange for airport pickup for 60LE. We were too late in booking transportation so we just caught a taxi at the airport for 50LE but it wasn't air conditioned and we had to haggle for the price. The...

This hotel is rated very highly in LP, so our expectations were quite high, and whilst we were not hugely disappointed, our expectations were not exceeded. The hotel is on the 5th floor of a shared building and the lift is very scary, the floor feels like it is about to fall through! The hotel itself is average but the...

I loved my time at the Hotel Longchamps. I found the location, room, staff, food, etc. to be just right. I did not know what to expect of Cairo, this being my first time there, but I loved the city and this hotel was a great base for my stay-and I will return.

Hello everybody I am just back from the Longchamps. So far as I am concerned they deserve the number 1 slot for service, friendliness and value for money. Sure you can find more luxurious hotels but for me, it's not about the surroundings, it's about the people in charge and the way they treat their paying guests and make them...

I apologize to Ms. Hebba Bakri for writing this review so late, as I've lost the chance to influence Cairo travelers for several months now! My husband and I stayed at the Longchamps for 5 days in February 2007 and absolutely adored the place. The hotel was truly a home away from home, with excellent accommodations, staff, location, food...I cannot...

As a frequent visitor to Cairo, I have been staying at the Longchamps hotel for well over 5 years – Infact, I would not dream of staying anywhere else. Over the years I have seen many changes in the Longchamps and all for the better. The hotel is owned and run by the wonderful Madame Hebba Bakri and she is...

We have just returned from a wonderful 12 night trip to Egypt.7 nights of which we spent in hotel Longchamps.Like others before we had trawled the hotel reviews before deciding which hotel to choose, and we are very happy with our choice. Longchamps is the perfect place to relax after a chaotic day's travelling around Cairo. The hotel is well placed in...

Just wanted to thank Hebba and her staff for the very lovely time that I spent at the Hotel Longchamps. I loved my experience in Cairo and it was made extra special by how I was looked after at the Hotel. I had a very nice and spacious room, overall the hotel is very comfortable and a relaxing place where...
