We stayed three nights. Walked freely in the area. Not harassed by merchants or others. Peaceful walk. Staff was very accommodating. Staff was very patient during pre -trip planning and during our stay. Comfortable, clean. The in wall heater worked well for the one cool evening we had. They offer drinks during the day in your room or in the...

In the midst of 4-5 star generic hotels in Cairo, Hotel Longchamp stands out as the clear winner. The hotel is beautifully decorated with antique prints and has a lovely communal balcony to have a glass of wine or beer after a long day of site seeing. Hebba goes above and beyond for her clients. She upgraded our room on...

The hotel location is great as it's in a quiet area of Zamalek and close to shops and restaurants. The rooms are clean, cosy and the personnel is well mannered. There are problems sometimes with the WiFi but for the rest all great!

Good location for exploring Zamalek. Great transfer service from airport. Very comfortable, quiet, squeaky clean, everything works, excellent WiFi and with very attentive and helpful staff. . . . What more could you want?

Hotel longchamps is just the kind of place I look for whenever I travel - affordable, clean, good service and great location. It is run by the very talented Hebba Bakri who is honestly made to run a hotel really! Such high standards of hospitality here. She checks all is well with breakfast (more on this later!), chatting fluently in...

Located in bohemian Zamalek, this hotel is just gorgeous. Please be aware that non, big chain, hotels in Cairo can be unconventional. Don't let this deter you. The entrance to Hotel Longchamp is in no way an accurate representation of what you will discover once you get to level 5! Remember the lifts are tiny in Cairo! This hotel has...

Imagine travelling to Cairo in the early 1900s and staying at a European-run ”pension”. That’s what the Longchamps feels like. The hotel is situated on two floors of an apartment block and is beautifully appointed with oriental rugs on wooden floors, sofas and bookshelves everywhere and a lovely terrace balcony facing the sun. It’s more like “A Room With a...

Egyptian friend recommended this hotel but she had never stayed. It is centrally located in Cairo and on Zamalek close to restaurants and main access ways for taxis. Zamalek does get traffic jams but that is just Cairo, part of the charm. Entrance to the building isn't the nicest but once up on the hotel floor it is decorated very...

We enjoyed staying there. The staff were very pleasant and helpful, the breakfasts very good, the rooms clean , good beds, great shower and surprisingly little street noise. The hotel is the fifth floor of a building on an island in the Nile relatively close to downtown. It is 4.5 Km to the Egyptian Museum and Tahir Square and we...

I stayed there in August 2015, we were two females traveling together. This hotel is located in Zamalek which is the best area to stay in in my opinion. Heba was extremely nice and helpful and made us feel safe. And the rooms are very nice and extremely clean! The breakfast was SO GOOD! They have a nice area where...
