This hotel makes you feel you have a second home. Staff are so friendly, and they do not have no for an answer. I love it. The only negative point is the elevators, I think they should be changed soon as most of them are shaking

The rooms were clean, cozy and big although the view from the room that we were in wasn’t great but that is to be expected if you pay for the cheapest rooms. Our room was always cleaned when we got back from our daily tours and the buffet and breakfast in the hotel was really delicious especially the “Om Ali” I had for pudding most nights when we ate at the hotel. The staff are friendly but most of them don’t know how to speak in English and it could get a bit frustrating. Nada was great, we wanted a room change and she got that done for us ASAP. It’s safe to walk to the museum from the hotel but that means that you will need to learn to cross the roads the Egyptian way and once you get a hang of it you should be okay otherwise there are taxi drivers right outside the hotel that you can take. Our taxi driver was really great, his name was Ellaa, his prices were low and he never asked for tips although we tipped him anyway because it felt nice not be hassled for tips for once. All in all I enjoyed my stay there.…
I am the chairman of advocacy services for the Egyptian association in Great Britain I was on official business to repatriate the body of an Egyptian citizen to be Buried in Egypt After the burial I arrived to the hotel dusted and I was treated with the most unwelcoming way, questioning where I was going and where is my booking reference number I was a suspect until I came back with my room card , very hard faces no smiling , deterrent for anyone to book in this hotel again Or ever come back to the country The same happened when I was checking out, they run after me when I was leaving as if I did steal the luggage and they are not mine This is nothing comparing to what happened in my room On the departure day 29/4/2022 I was flying back to UK by British airway’s To be at at cairo airport by 13:30 and my wife was returning back to Alexandria by couch with my friend who came from sharm to say hello to me and to help my wife with the heavy luggage I finished my shower and I was getting dressed and in my underwear My wife was just reaching to the towel after finishing her shower and suddenly one knock at the door and immediately and before I can even answer the room service check walked in Seeing me semi naked he walked out My body was exposed to him and almost my wife body would have been exposed too He did not knock three times as he supposed to do and did not even wait for us to answer the one knock I made a complaint to the management first they offer me a drink at the bar in Ramadan I confirmed that I was fasting then they offered my stay to be extended until 4 pm I declined and then they offered complementary night which I also declined They don’t understand that your privacy has been infringed I am a person with disfigured part of my body I consider that disability and I don’t show it to my close relative This was insulting to my dignity My private part was exposed to a stranger and almost your wife body was going to be exposed to which is even worst We are Muslim and Middle Eastern where is our politeness and manners I am sure everyone working in the hotel is highly educated but what happened shows that one there were no manners nor integrity and for sure lack of training To make the matter disaster the Management did not uphold my complaints saying that the stuff knocked three times and when I challenged her to provide me with the CCTV images she refused making excuses that it is a National security matter and the county is in a war with terrorist and we have to check everything She literally told me off and said it’s my fault that I did not put “do not disturb “ sign at the door and I should have locked the door from inside Well I did not think that I am in one of those hotels under the bridge as she said to me and in the Hilton they knock and wait for an answer before they dashed in Those hotels under the bridge are down to earth they respect their guests, they treat them with respect not like your hotel no manners no respect And for sure no management I dare you to provide me with Video footage to support your theory that he knocked three times God is my witness that it was one knock and immediate open after as if he wants to catch any person in compromised situation Please don’t stay in hotel it’s management cover up for mistakes instead of addressing and correcting themselves By far any under bridge hotel is better than Hilton Ramses You are a sham to Hilton and to Egypt and for sure to Ramses himself…
This is not a good place to stay . HORRIBLE.. pick somewhere else. Overcharges mistakes regarding billing , totally unfocused on customer. Lounge staff were nice. We paid $60 less than Four Seasons.. stay there instead
Lower your expectations. Not a five star Hilton by any stretch. Run down and dirty. Then again, this is Egypt and everything is dirty so this is about as good as it gets in Cairo. The elevators are a nightmare you will wait for 20 minutes or more and they are crickity. Then when your key doesn’t work (happens three times in 7 days) it’s a big pain especially if you are on a high floor. Check in is chaos and they stare at computers for what seems like an eternity arguing with each other about something. The executive lounge is also terrible. They served dried out fried fish with bad Oder and a 2 beer selection. The attendants hover over you obsessively waiting for a tip. The cleaning lady at the lounge vacuums around my feet while I am to have a phone conversation. There is no part of this place worthy of the Hilton brand and I’m surprised corporate allows it. Rooms are fair. Great showers. Great location. So many employees all continuously talking to you and hovering- it’s very obsessive- they think it’s good service and probably don’t understand that it is souring experiences. Again, just lower expectations and it’s manageable.…
Ramses Hilton is a combination of price and quality. Stayed a family for 7 nights in Cairo. The hotel is conveniently located right next to the Cairo Museum, from the rooms a beautiful view of the beautiful Nile. Everything in the room itself was Wi-Fi free, a fridge with refreshing drinks, water was always in any quantities. Iftar and Sohour are very diverse, there were vegetables and fruits, many different tasty things, we gorged on. The staff was very helpful and fast reacting to our demands. Moreover, it's important to mention that your buffet is one of a kind and the best buffet ever. It has all variety of food and very satisfying. Sure I will come and visit this hotel again and my family was very happy for the warm atmosphere in this hotel
The hotel is quite outdated but provided good value for money. We had an executive room which was really spacious and well appointed. Huge comfy bed and great view of the Nile. The room was immaculately cleaned every day. Breakfast was ok. Reasonable spread but not great if you wanted to eat healthily. The fruit selection was poor, and the omelettes were not the best. The pool area was nice and the service there was excellent. Big shout out to Khalid who was super friendly. The food at the pool bar/restaurant was good. Our only real moan about this hotel was the lifts. They took ages to come. You need to add 15 minutes on to any itinerary. It was soul destroying to wait in queues in the reception just to get in the lift. Sometimes when you got in one it wouldn’t work. And when it did it felt like an eternity to get to the floor you want.…
The rooms were spacious and nice, the staff was polite, but we were not shown to our rooms at check in. The breakfast was nice. The pool area was also really nice, a small oasis of quiet in the centre of Cairo. The elevators were horrible. Half of them didn't work, and on one of the trips the elevator reset between every floor, so even though we pressed the button for our floor, it kept going. There are no stairs except the fire escape either.
From check in to trying to use the lift, I realized this was not a 5 star welcoming experience. The staff are plain rude. The hotel is old, dated and dirty. Our room over looked a building site. The furniture is old and weary. The carpets dirty. We complained to our travel agent who tried to negotiate with the hotel for a better room, but we’re told that the room we were is was an upgraded room. I shudder to think what a standard room must look like. The location is in a noisy part of down town. You have a highway right outside the hotel and the traffic goes 24 hours a day. If we could have moved hotels we would, but we had paid upfront with a tour operator. I am trying to think of one positive thing about the hotel, but I can’t. Perhaps the trainee waiter who could still smile as he was new and didn’t have the same bad attitude than the rest of the staff including management. What an awful way to start our holiday in Egypt. I can only pray that the other hotels in other cities make up for this miserable experience. My advice, just don’t stay here.…
