First of all the location was excellent, so we didn't need to spend a fortune catching and dealing with taxi. Museum, Go Bus station, markets and other places nearby. We've had a 4 bed room. When we came into the room it was sprayed with room freshener, later on I understood why. When you travel all you need is a...

All the staff is amazing (Mohamed is awesome!), the facilities are very much above average for an hostel, nice decor at reception/hall, nice bathroom, air conditioning, perfect location in downtown. Freedom Hostel is a solid budget option in Cairo. Rooms and bathrooms are large and clean, beds are comfy, and the new room air conditioners work well. The lobby is the nicest...

Great location and very clean. Peter organized my entire trip during my stay and I had no problems whatsoever. The people at the hostel always have great advice, from sites to see to food and other activities. The hostel has a great vibe and you're certain to interact with many people - locals and travellers.

This is my first time writing a review for a hostel, but I feel like a must for the following travellers to Cairo. Egypt is different country I've been travelled before, city is a maze with Arabic, for those don't speak, you may find hard for first couple days wandering in the city, so far, freedom is the only hostel...
