Prior to arriving at Lumia Hotel, I already had a great experience. I had been conversing with the staff for several weeks with questions about our stay. What was really impressive was that they had arranged a taxi to wait for us. We landed a little early and the Incheon airport being so large, my mom in a wheelchair and going through customs took a while. We were scheduled to land at 8 pm, but after all that we didn't get done till 8:45. Thank goodness our taxi driver waited for us.
Upon arriving at the hotel there was a large group of Chinese tourists checking in. I thought it was going to be a while before it was my turn. To my surprise, Kim was at the front desk. He spoke Chinese and checked them in quickly. Then came my turn and he spoke English very well. I thought impressive. The phone rings while we are gathering our bags and he's speaking Korean! I, also heard him helping Japanese guests in their language! A quad lingual person!! Kim was very helpful in arranging our tours and directing us around the city. The room for three was a little cramped with our large suitcases but we all got our own beds. There's a little refrigerator that is stocked with tea bags and instant coffee. They also replenish the bottled water free of charge. Basic toiletries are supplied. Free wi-fi is definitely a big plus.
From 7-9 am they have a continental breakfast. Toast, cereal, milk, juice, coffee, scrambled eggs, kim chee, a meat and starch.
Only thing that was an error on their website is that there is no laundry area to use. There is a laundry service for a fee.
The location was perfect As everything was walking distance and central to the train lines. Will definitely stay here again in future travels.

The hotel is between Seoul station and Myeongdong station, so it’s very convenient
The staffs can speak multi language, such as English and mandarin and they’re so friendly that they’re help you as much as they can and provide useful information
But the road to the hotel is climbing up so it will be a little bit harder to get there

Four day trip to Seoul. Exceptionally happy with all aspects of the Lumia Hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful (but don't speak much English). They did provide directions with the help of Google maps and hand signals. Always had a smile and were glad to try to converse.
Room was of adequate size, clean and had a closet, shelf space and mini-fridge. Hard bed as expected. Two bottles of water daily. as well as normal bathroom amenities. View out window was of Namsan cable car and tower. Daily cleaning service.
Fantastic location 2 blocks (up hill) from Hoehyeon station (take IMMEDIATE right turn on street upon leaving station exit 1). Walking distance to Seoul station and City Hall station. Lots of food in immediate area. 10 minute walk to Myeongdong market. Convenience store on corner (where you turn right) at Hoehyeon station.
Elevator was quick but small. Rooftop garden roomy with nice views and tranquil setting.
Five star rating for this 2 star hotel. Great price only makes it better.

this was my 3rd time going back to Lumia hotel, this time we were staying for 7 nights. I found the customer service has improved a lot and also to my surprise there is now a laundry service with a reasonable fee. Breakfast was simple but it was enough, considering the price of the room. I can also get hot water anytime from their 1st floor. Keep it up Lumia.

Staff were rude.
Tried to check out at 6am, no one was there and the number they left didn't work, obviously couldn't work out the korean telephone, so we just left.

Hotel had a strong smell of sweet coffee, which wasn't pleasant.
But there was an AMAZING korean fried chicken place just down the road, next to king kong hotel. Must try!!

I booked this hotel for one night because the price and location were right. It's quite small, and our taxi driver wasn't familiar with the location, but after a quick phone call to the front desk, he dropped us right off at the door. The guy at the front desk was really helpful, and he gave us a free upgrade to a triple room since the room we originally booked was "very small" (his words). The upgraded room was also small but adequate for our needs, which basically just included a clean and comfortable place to sleep for the night.
Within an hour after we arrived at the hotel, we discovered that my friend's cell phone had been left in the taxi. The (multilingual!) front desk receptionist helps us contact the taxi driver, who quickly came back and delivered the missing cell phone. Crisis averted!
Various people at the front desk were also willing to give us directions to the local sights, and the hotel has a rack of maps, guides, etc. by the front door that are very useful. I highly recommend an evening trip up Seoul Tower, which is just behind the hotel.
One thing to note is that the hotel is partway up a small hill, so if you're coming from the nearby subway (at the bottom of the hill) and have luggage, it may be a challenge. Going down the hill with luggage wasn't an issue for us, though--it's not far to the subway.
The morning breakfast was a good value--Asian-style buffet with various hot and cold drinks--all homemade by a sweet lady.
All-in-all, the Lumia was a good value for a great location in Seoul, and the staff made the stay a delight. I'd definitely stay here again!

We stayed for 3 nights. It's located close to Hoehyeon station - exit 1 will take you to the bottom of the street where the hotel is located (you'll see the King Kong hotel on the corner and a chicken shop).

The hotel is clean, spacious and has great views of Seoul Tower from the roof terrace in the evening. The staff were friendly and helpful though the language barrier will be an issue unless you speak Korean. We didn't eat in the cafe but breakfast was included. The Wifi signal was strong.

We would consider going back should we return to South Korea because the location made it easy to travel around Seoul

The Hotel offers free breakfast and wifi. The location is accessible to everything. We just walk going to famous landmark like the Namsan Tower, Nandaemon Market and Myeondong Street. Daily cleaning of the room. The staffs are accommodating to inquiries and would offer help if the need arise. It’s my first time coming here in South Korea and a good accommodation has help makes my trip a memorable one.

The hotel is nice and clean. it is a walking distance to Namdaemun market (shopping street) . The breakfast is simple .However the hotel location is a bit uphill from the train station. So it is a bit challenge to walk back to hotel after the day trip.

located v near to exit of hoehyeon station, which is near namdaemun market. female front desk staff is approachable and helpful.

the toilet was clogged but they were not able to resolve immediately. since we are going out, we didnt pursue but use the toilet on the ground floor. when we came home, the issue was resolved.

there are traces of mosquitoes on the wall, i believed should be flattened and killed by previous guests. housekeeping didnt bother to clean them away.
