Although I only spent 2 nights in Seoul, I feel like I really felt at home at Mama's -- it is so much more than a guesthouse, it is like staying with old friends. Thanks you so much Jung for showing us the deliciousness of korean cuisine -- we hope to meet you again soon! Michelle and Chris

To Mr. Ju, Thanks for great hospitality and giving me a glimpse of Korean culture and food. My short stay in Seoul will remain etched in my memory thanks to you and your wife. To other trippers, I stayed at MaMa Hanok for 2 nights. This stay re-affirmed my desire of always staying in a hostel/guesthouse even when I can... More

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Mama's. The location is perfect, right in the middle of Seoul next to the subway, street vendors, bars. The house is authentic, you really get to experience what it's like to live like a Korean, complete with sleeping on a futon. The courtyard even has vats of traditional korean hot sauce, fermenting to perfection. Best... More

We stayed in Mama Hanok for 2 of our 3 nights in Seoul and overall had a good stay. There seemed to be some confusion about our reservation upon check-in but was worked out quickly. The location was very convenient for site-seeing either by walking or taking the metro. Mr. Ju was extremely hospitable - giving us suggestions of what... More

Mr. Ju and his wonderful wife gave us a warmhearted welcome - as if we had known eachother for years. During the seven days in his house we learnt so much about the corean way of living and about corean culture. Mr. Ju is a great artist by himself ( the traditional Hanok house shows some of his works) and... More

My husband and young son just spent five wonderful nights at this guesthouse. The owners are exceedingly kind and helpful. They attended to our every need and offered us special foodstuffs and beverages to try. We felt at home as soon as we arrived. The guesthouse is full of character, with lots of plants and special touches. (It is evident... More
