My girlfriend and I just finished an 8 day stay in this guesthouse and it was fantastic. The location was a 5 minute walk from Hapjeong station (exit 3), and it was close to everything needed; restaurants, groceries, entertainment, shopping, bars, clubs, etc. The rooms were cosy and had a very homely vibe to it, my girlfriend and I had our own room and it felt like home for the time we were there. All the guests were very friendly and a very big mention to Jesper hosting us for our time too. He was very welcoming and accommodating and very knowledgeable about everything - he made us feel very welcome and was happy to chat about anything and everything. If you’re looking for a good spot to leave your bags, feel comfortable, and be close to everything at a very reasonable price, I’d strongly recommend! Also a thank you to Jonathan as well for making us feel welcome from the beginning!

I had an early flight and was lucky to be able to check in early. Guidelines were easy to refer. Definitely best place to chill in Seoul. Didn't had time to hang out with people there, but do stay here if you want to meet new friends!

Jasper will try his absolute best to make you have a great time. The location is fantastic with everything that you could ask for as a tourist. Restuarants everywhere, bars, internet cafes, arcade gaming center, karaoke, nice street food etc. I really do like the roof top of the hostel and that there is a SNES console in the living room :) You can make great friends here and Jasper does take a lot time of out of his day to show you places to eat together, help you around town if you need to find something and make you have the best possible experience. All in all I can only say good things about Gateway Korea Guesthouse number 1 and 2. I will come back for sure!

I first went to the guesthouse in 2017 for a 4 day trip and had the time of my life. Because the first time was so awesome I decided to return for a two week holiday. Upon my return I was hoping to get the same experience at the Guesthouse but actually it was 10 times better. Instead of staying two weeks, I ended up staying for 5 weeks and I stayed at the guesthouse for my entire stay. It’s such a special place to be. The owners are amazing and fun. You create bonds and memories that will live with you. And I want to give a shoutout to Jesper, he helped me so much during my stay and I can’t thank him enough. He was my translator, my restaurant finder and my tour guide book. I plan to return back to Korea and if I do, I will always stay at the guesthouse. The guesthouse becomes a home away from home and everyone there becomes family. I would 1000% recommend this to anyone who wants to visit Seoul. Best accommodation I have ever stayed in.
