Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

If you want to stay around Seoul Station for the station's accessibility, this hotel is a great cheap, clean, no-frills option. The room is big enough to only fit the bed, bathroom, and floorspace to walk between the two--that is it! If you don't plan to be in your room much, the space won't matter, but this would not be conducive to a long stay. A few amenities, but not much: water, toothbrush, small bar of soap, Korean TV. Unfortunately, after the cancellation period ended, we were told that there will not be a front desk attendant during morning hours (also no breakfast). Ultimately, this hotel is in a great location if you do not need the support of the staff or much space. I would honestly stay here again, just knowing its limitations.

K-POP Hotel is located just across the road from Seoul Station. It is very convenient if you are catching a train or plane. The check in was efficient, we arrived early and could leave our luggage till check in time. Room was large, clean and well stocked. Beds were comfortable.

2 nights in February 2019. Second time at this hotel (I have an older review from last year somewhere below, haha). Nothing's changed, but that's not a bad thing when one considers the good location and available facilities. The room was a bit scruffy around the edges, but not too badly maintained and with all the essentials fitted (including an ensuite bathroom). The common pantry in the basement is open round the clock; there's a simple breakfast (free of charge) with toast, cereal, juice, and coffee available there during a small window of time in the morning. Seoul Station is close by, although not as easy to reach as one might think since there's a very wide and very busy road separating it from the hotel's neighbourhood. A subway exit - #10 - is located just downhill from the front door, but quite a few steps to climb (especially when the escalators are turned off). This particular exit is convenient for Seoul Metro Line 4, a bit less so for Line 1, and even less so for the KTX and conventional trains. When I've got luggage in tow and the escalators aren't running, I find that walking to the (rather distant) pedestrian crossing is more convenient than using Exit 10 since this eliminates most of the staircases I'd have to otherwise negotiate. Not particularly expensive, though perhaps a little pricey for what you get. Happy with the stay and glad to keep it on the books as an option - mainly due to the location - but might also look elsewhere.

Good location. Especially for those who travel fron and back to airport by fast train. Either Gimpo (48 minutes) or Incheon (59 minutes). Room is small, just nice for 2 peoples. Breakfast is DIY (Toast & drinks).

The main selling point is the location. This place is within walking distance of Seoul Station - great for catching early trains or turning in quickly after a late-night arrival. Be warned: it's some ways up on a sloping street so less-than-fit folk (myself included) may end up huffing and puffing en route. The nearest subway exit has escalators, but they're switched off on weekends/holidays and there's a final stairs-only stretch at the top. There's a pantry in the basement that's open round-the-clock; free coffee, juice, and water are available (along with a very basic DIY breakfast in the mornings). Helpful staff and a 24-hour front desk, with luggage storage available before check-in and after check-out. My room was reasonably clean and well-maintained, but not quite spotless. Nothing major - splotches on the wall, streaks on the floor, that sort of thing. I might check out other options in the area, but wouldn't mind staying again.

- Very friendly and helpful staff. They speak English. - The hotel is directly opposite the central train station, where you can find restaurants and a big supermarket. - There is a police station 50 m. from the hotel. - It's not a hotel. It's a hostel. - Very very very small room with a small window. - No space for your luggages, or even to stand up to wear your clothes. It was like a prison's cell. - It is not a clean room even you should hang the label "Please clean my room". - Only small (for face) towels and you must ask at reception for at least medium towels. Once, they gave us a medium towel with holes. - The restaurant for the breakfast it's a hostel's restaurant. You must do all by yourself. - The breakfast is a disappointment. Only toast's bread, jam, butter, mandarin juice and coffee and tea. - Just outside the hotel (in front and left), it's not a safe area. It's a corrupt and decadent area, even there is a police station 50 m away. We saw 2 nights, police cars and ambulances.

Tiny rooms in a tiny and compact yet spotlessly clean hotel right next to Seoul Station Exit 10. Effective wifi with easy login; underfloor heating; double glazed; warm and fast flow shower but temperature occasionally variable. Basic DIY breakfast suitable for a few days before monotony sets in. 24 hour free coffee or cheap orange juice.

My wife and I lodged at this hotel for four nights in early October. We arrived in the morning when our room still was not ready. The friendly receptionist was kind enough to let us deposit our luggages at the hotel for free. She even extended her hospitality by letting us use the washroom. We felt warm inside owing to her hospitality amidst the cold weather. After a long day walk at Myeong-dong and N Seoul Tower, we returned to the hotel to check into our room. The room is adequately sized to fit the two of us. Cleanliness was good, though signs of lack of maintenance were visible, e.g. cracked tiles, etc. The TV featured a rich selection of Korean channels (no English subs) and a couple of English and Mandarin channels. Basic breakfast was complimentary and made available at the hotel basement. WiFi was complimentary too. The greatest advantage of the hotel is its location. It sits right above Seoul Station, which is only two stops away from the shopping haven, Myeong-dong. Getting to other places from Seoul Station by train is convenient to say the least. Ease of transportation aside, the hotel is near LOTTE Mart Seoul Station and of course, LOTTE Outlets that features more than 100 famous brands. Overall, the experience with the hotel was pleasant.

Spent a considerable amount of money for the hotel for a night in Seoul, was sorely disappointed. Room was extremely small, beds were hard, and one bed had several long hairs. Either hair was from housekeeping or room wasn't properly turned. The hotel does have ac in the room which was nice as it was fairly warm the day I went. Seoul station is mere feet away with access to several modes of transportation bus, train or taxi. Looking to sightsee? In walking distance to Nandaemun(sp?) market, Myeongdong and even Seoul tower if you're up for it. Could've found a cheaper place for the same quality of this hotel. Staff was nice though and they offer breakfast, which I didn't partake in due to an extremely late night out. Overall great area, but probably wouldn't stay again.

Overall : limited services hotel with a lot of DIY. Distance from Seoul station very close the challenges are : no elevator from exit 10 , need to climb stairs to reach SCT. Then another stairs to the road and a slope to hotel. Room: Room size: very small. No chair can be placed else no space for luggage. No water no spoon etc in the room. No automatic house keeping on room unless a sign is placed outside the door from 10am to 12 noon. Electrical appliances TV ,hair dryer, aircon are in good conditions. Toilet with necessities. But there is no phone to call front desk need to go down to 1st floor. No sound proof as I can hear neighbouring room flushing and showing as late as 12 mid night. Cafe at B1: water and juices available 24 hours . Need to have a way to get water from dispenser to room as there is no water container in the room. Washing machine available but no dryer. Drying as to be use hangers to dry in rooftop floor. Not sure how to do so in winter . Detergent can buy from front desk. Some minimum cooking facilities. Free breakfast only white bread, cereal ,milk and coffee. Staff friendly. Payment :need to settle bills upon check in.
