This hotel is not belong to any big company or chain-hotel group.

It's kind of local hotel and having a bit similar to love hotel.

However, it is clean and spacious room .

The room we stayed has 1 Jacuzzi bath tube and separate Toilet room.

Only one complain for the room, the bath room has no door.

The first room which I was assigned was noisy. The aircon was leaky badly and dripping water. There is a PC in the room. However, the screen was flickering and the keyboard was super dusty. I asked for a room change after the first night as my wife did not manage to catch any sleep.

The twin-size jacuzzi bath tub didn't work for my second room. The keyboard was again dusty.

Well, I guess the advantage of the hotel is its location. It is minutes away from the MTR.There is also free wifi in the hotel which I guess is another plus point.

We stayed at this hotel last month so we would be able to join the USO's DMZ tour easily. The maps I found on the internet show the hotel in different places. I don't know which is correct. We arrived at the Seoul train station late at night. The taxi cab driver we got had a hard time finding the hotel. We don't speak Korean and the taxi driver didn't know English. I had printed out the hotel address and Google map (it was in Korean) but it wasn't of much use and he didn't know of the Hotel Elle. He understood the Kaya Hotel. So, he went straight down the main street to the front of the Kaya Hotel. He went inside that hotel but they didn't give him any useful information. I knew from reading the Trip Advisor comments that this hotel was in an alley but in the dark we didn't see any alleys. We could see the USO sign so I knew we were close. We then drove past the big office building next to the Hotel Kaya and saw the small alley on the right. The left side of the alley is the wall with barbed wire on top for Camp Kim and the USO. We turned into the alley and the Hotel Elle is immediately behind the office building. The alley curves around and goes past the Rainbow Hotel and ends up on the street with the Namyeoung subway station.

After having to pay up front for our 3 day stay (450,000 Korean Won) we then seen the room. The toilet was leaking on the floor and smelled of urine constantly. The large tub did not fill up, and drained onto the floor. When I wanted to check out early, they did not give any type of refund for the additional days we were supposed to stay.

Looks nice on the reviews and pics, but isn’t at all. The place is dirty and is rented by the hour. Then they change sheets and rent it again. After complaining that the elevator and cars were too noisy to sleep and that the room smelled of stale smoke, they said they would change my room when one became available, they never did. There is not a chance that this hotel is 3 stars, absolutely none. The bath was nice.... that’s about it. I will never stay here again, awful experience and sleepless night next to the noisy elevator shaft.

I stay here at least once a month mainly because it's reasonably priced in Seoul standard and it's right next to my office. Any time I pull a late nighter or work late and don't feel like driving up to Seoul during rush hour trying to make it to my morning meetings I tend to stay here.
I tried many other hotels in same price range near by including Kaya hotel (don't stay here even if it's free) & Best Western Premier Garden hotel Mapo (there's nothing premier about this hotel) and this hotel has both of them beat hands down. Now this hotel is no 5 star or even 4 star but again if want luxury go else where. This is 3 star hotel near Itaewon foreigner shopping district and MyeongDong shopping district in downtown Seoul. Plus for 70,000 ~ 90,000 won per night (that's basically little less than $70 ~ $90) with free valet parking service and decent size room you just can't complain. The rooms I have stayed in comes standard with bottle waters, refreshments, large LCD TV, writing desk with PC and delivery service menu from near by restaurents incase you get hungry late at night. Just keep in mind they do not speak english very well so you will get limited help but you have Starbucks, Hollys coffee and bunch other restaurents near by. One more tip, there are several room rates here for same room. 1. hourly rates (short term visitors mainly for couples..hint, hint) 2. regular rack rate 3. discounted rate after 10PM ( I always choose this one because it's 70,000 or 75,000 won per night).

We stayed at the Elle Inn for 5 nights last month while we were visiting Seoul. The hotel is near Train 1 and Train 4 and is only a station away from the YongSan and Seoul train station.
It is also very close to MeongDong and NamDaeMoon.
The hotel has two different rate system, hourly and nightly. Due to lack of privacy at their homes, many Korean couples retreat to hotels.
The room was very nice, with whirpool. I would have liked more lighting in the rooom, but it wasn't a biggie. There were many restaurants near by and a great chicken place about a block away. Also many cafes including Starbucks, Holly's Coffee, Lotteria, etc.
I would recommend this hotel for tourist.

Hotel isn't located walking distance to any sightseeing attractions or major shopping areas such as Myeongdong, Dongdaemun, etc. but there's a subway station (Namyeong station) about 5 minutes away that will take you anywhere you need to go. We found it more convenient to walk a little further to the Samgakji station and take the train there since it meant less transfers to the major areas. The airport limo bus (#6001) from Incheon airport drops you off about 10 minutes walking distance away from the hotel so it's not too bad. When dropped off on the main road, just head straight down the main road in the direction the bus came from since the bus passes the hotel and make a right turn after you pass the block with a 7-eleven. The deluxe double room we booked was a decent size and pretty spacious and bigger than some of the other ones we've stayed at in Korea or Japan. The lighting is pretty dim throughout even with all the lights on since it's kind of a love hotel. The bed was good, shower was strong, had a jacuzzi tub. The toilet in our unit was enclosed in a separate area with a door but it was really tight in there so my knee hit the wall when I sat on the toilet so I had to turn sideways a bit which was annoying. There's free wifi but your signal will depend on where your room is situated. Our room on the 5th floor had a terrible signal but our friends on the 3rd had a strong signal. If your wifi doesn't work, you can always use the PC in your room to use the internet which is also convenient for those who don't have their own laptop. The staff at the front desk was friendly and helpful. You can also ask for an adapter for the outlets ($10 deposit which you get back when you return it). There are plenty of shops, cafes around the hotel area on the main road so it's not too shabby. Overall, we had a good experience at this hotel. It's clean and will have everything you need. Location is good if you plan on taking the subway or taxis. I'd prefer to book a hotel that's walking distance to the main areas, saves on subway fares and taxis. Keep in mind the subway closes at around midnight, so you would have to take a taxi if you stay out later than that if you go to the bars or late shopping. A piece of advice, do NOT take a black minivan taxi if you stay out late. They are known for scamming you and charging you a ridiculous amount of money like they did to us. Our fare was over $80 from Dongdaemun to the hotel when it should have only cost $8 in a regular car taxi. Lesson learned.

I booked this hotel after reading a couple of the reviews here and other websites and I made the biggest mistakes for this trip. The pictures on their websites must been taken when they first opened like 10 years ago!?!?

I was not expect a five star hotel but at least is CLEAN. The room smell like someone was smoking there before and when we complained to the manager he only refreshed the room with chemical air refresher which made us both feeling ill with bad headache. You can also found cooking smell when you are in the elevator. The staff said to us this is smoking free hotel but we found ash-trays in the bedroom and bathroom.

The bathroom is the worst bit... there was black molded stuff between the titles and on the shower curtain..I found human body hairs under my pillow and unknown liquid marks on the chairs... They also supply us a hair brushes with hairs attached...The room was really dark and I think they have to keep the light low otherwise you are able to see all the terrible things in the room.

Most hotels are booked out when we were there so we are forced to stayed there for 2 nights. I seriously had two nights of nightmare and had very little sleep. The hotel also setup the TV to turn itself on at 8am.!!! What the!!!

This hotel is worst than the Australia's backpackers we used to stay when we were in Melbourne. I don't think this hotel deserve any stars.

The problem is that this is advertised as a 3 star hotel. It certainly isn't. It's a decent 2 star motel in an ok location. But for the price you can do much better in Seoul. The Ibis hotels downtown are in a similar price range and look like 5 star luxury hotels compared to Elle Inn.

The location is more or less ok, though it's hidden in a shabby alley. There are 2 metro stations nearby and you are 2 stations from downtown. The war memorial and a stop of the bus tour are within 10 min walking.

The motel looks depressive. Everywhere is dark, you rarely see somebody except the receptionist. The rooms are old and do not look really clean. They try their best (bed sheets and towels are clean and replaced daily), but everything is so old that it gives u an unclean feeling. Did not dare to try the bathtub. The toilet was not really clean and had a strange smell. Basically all that the others reviewers mentioned is true. Don't trust the motel photos, trust the reviews.

The worse part is that this is a smoking motel and that when others smoke you get the nice smell via the ventilation system. At some point you will need to open the window and keep the airco blowing to get some breathable air. Smoking seems encouraged by the motel since ashtrays and matches are provided.

Yes you can do probably worse. But for the price you can easily do better. And this should not be advertised as a 3 star hotel.
