Rooms bigger than Far East standards. Very clean. Ok for non smokers. Rooms very well equipped. Large bathrooms. Very good buffet breakfast. Best rates if anticipated booking. Warm staff. At the heart of Seoul downtown, ideal location near walking area and crucial subway stations

Back from Seoul, there are my comments regarding this Hotel perfectly located in the area of Myeongdong. The positive aspects: - the location of course; - nearby the airport shuttle bus stop (takes 1,5 hour from downtown to Incheon Airport); - nearby the metro station (200m); - all major sites of Seoul reachable by foot; - very friendly staff; -...

Excellent location next to the tourist must go shop, lotte shopping centre, myeongdong shopping district and lots of signature restaurants around it. The water pressure for the shower is strong, equivalent to any good five star hotels, and more important, the hotel is very clean, down in the room, hallway and reception area. The toiletries are also good quality stuff....

Stayed in this gem in myeongdong for 3 times prior to this visit and still absolutely love it! Book the deluxe room which is spacious enough for two. Although the rooms lack a view, the beds are comfortable and the room is neat, tidy and doesn't feel claustrophobic. Staff here are excellent and speak a good command of english. A...

Wifi in the whole hotel was convenient and good timely support from IT when we can't connect on iPad or iPhone due to logging connection time out. We had 3 iPads and 2 iPhones logging on in the same room. Service from hotel was warm despite the modest reception space. We took a night train from airport to the hotel,...

Staying in Myeongdong / Namdaemun

Neighbourhood Profile
Myeongdong / Namdaemun
Arguably Seoul’s most famous neighbourhood and undoubtedly one of its most popular, Myeongdong takes shopping and eating to new heights, with hundreds of shops, restaurants, and cafes all stacked on top of one another. The rise in popularity of Korean cosmetics, fashion, and more has made this area a must-see for visitors who come and marvel at Myeongdong’s often frenetic pace and energy. Lotte and Shinsaegae’s massive department stores are also popular draws for both Korean and luxury products. The department stores, just like Myeongdong’s streets, are crowded around the clock. Myeongdong’s many street food carts are also immensely popular for their inexpensive and quirky offerings (French-fry-encrusted corn dogs, anyone?). The neighbourhood’s popularity, as well as its close proximity to other popular sights and neighbourhoods, makes it one of Seoul’s most popular places to stay.
