I spent 4 days and 3 nights stay at Grammos Hotel, I will highly recommend this hotel as it is value for money. The room is super clean, the bed is big and comfy. They have a big HD TV in the room, and very good wifi connections no doubt whether u r in lobby or inside the room. The hotel staffs are very friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel is very strategic, is only 5 minutes walk to Seoul Metro Station. There are many convenience shops surrounding only a minute walk away. There are good restaurants and cafes surroundings. There is a hawker stall nearby that serve very good topoki and ramen :)

I just returned from my trip last evening. I spent 8 nights at Grammos Hotel and great GOODNESS! that I found this hotel (Okie, actually my local tour guide found it). With the rate that I paid for against the services and the quality I received, there is no way I gonna give this hotel lower than 4 points.

From understanding, this hotel was newly renovated and reopened a few months ago, don't expect to find this with Google Maps Street View (I tried =P). This hotel is behind Nox Hotel and on the small road (Teheran-ro) beside Renaissance Seoul Hotel. Bus 6702 from Airport stops in front of Renaissance Hotel and you can walk to Grammos.

This hotel is located in Yeoksamdong of Gangnamgu. Its 5 min walk to Yeoksam station and 1 stop away from Gangnam station. Location wise, its short trip away to Garosugil, Apgujeong and Cheongsamdong. Seocho district (where cheaper shopping can be done) is just right beside Gangnam district.

When we reached the lobby, we were received by its warm and friendly staffs. Coffee was served for both my wife and me while we were waiting for our check-in. Even the housekeepers were so friendly.

The room was very comfy and spacious. We had enough space to place our big and small luggage bags. My wife loves the separation of the toilet and shower rooms (rain shower included). Bed was of right hardness and we got to have 1 hard and 1 softer pillows to suit each of us. Not forgetting the HDTV and the cute high tech in-room phone. Modern and cosy room setting. Towels are changed everyday and shower gel, shampoo and conditioner are replenished everyday. The hotel has a roof-top pool for light swim as well. Uploaded hotel photos for your eyes.

Surroundings are office buildings. That said, you can expect the area to be quieter during weekends. But not to worry, there are lots of Korean restaurants and convenience stores within the vicinity. Korean seafood, Korean BBQ, Coffee Cafes, Paris Baguette and Kkhunbu Chicken.

On our last day, the service of the (only) lift was disrupted by the heavy rainstorm. We were on level 9 and you know its gonna 'hurt' when you look at your 8 days of shopping luggage bags. The staffs helped us carry our bags down. Yes, step-by-step down the stairs.

We had very enjoyable night staying here and definitely a MUST choice when we are back again.

I spent eight days/nights in Seoul on business, staying at the Grammos hotel. The hotel was opened just a few months earlier and it is very nice - cool modern design, plenty of shiny white surfaces, big comfortable bed and some gadget-y features in a true Korean style - - big TV, numerous toilet functions etc. The big rain shower head and the rooftop pool were among the great features too. Staff at the reception were simply incredible. I got useful guidance for all sorts of practical questions and even assistance in an argument with a nearby restaurant. I felt like being treated as a friend, not just as one client among others, which was a very nice experience indeed. The room rate was very low compared to the level of accommodation and services. I would love to return to Grammos and will definitely do so if I will have more meetings in Gangnam. In the meantime, I would like to send my thanks and greetings to the hotel and its staff - very well done!! All the best for the future.

Just finishing a week at the Hotel Grammos. I agree with the positive reviews of others. Here are some additional thoughts and comments as well as directions to the hotel. The rooftop pool is small but adequate to enjoy a dip and swim short laps if not too many others are there. When I visited, I spent several hours at the pool on two occasions and no one else was there. This was probably due to the time of year but the wether was warm enough and the pool water was warm so I had my own private pool. Don't expect a lot from the "rooftop lounge/bar". All I saw was a small bar set in the corner of the pool area. The staff were very responsive to any requests. I had trouble with the TV one day and a young man from the front desk came up promptly and helped.
So definitely try this one out. I paid just over $100 per night through booking.com and had a spacious room (by Seoul standards) that was very well equipped.
To get there from Incheon Airport take the #6703 Airport Limousine bus. It stops at a number of hotels and takes about 80-90 minutes and costs 16,000 kwon (about $16). Get off at the Renaissance Hotel stop. As you stand facing the Renaissance Hotel walk to the left to the first corner. Take a right and walk a short distance to the first, very narrow street/alley on your left. Go up this street. You will see a sign for the Max Hotel. Walk by the Max, by a Healing Center, and by a small parking lot under a building all on your right. The Hotel Grammos will be the next building on the right. I arrived at night in the dark without specific directions like these and I had to wander around a few of these small streets and alleys before I finally found it. The next day in the daylight I noticed their signage a bit easier. But if you follow these directions you will have no problem. And when you get there you won't be disappointed.

This hotel is located at a inner quiet lane 2 blocks fm Yeoksam station exit 8 (station number 221/green line)
The superior twin room is comfortable for 2.
The beds are cozy.
Hotel staff speak English and are always polite and greet us each time they see us.
Peter is very helpful,we extended our stay 2 times, he ensure we get to stay in the original room, and he help to arrange for a late check out as our flight only depart @8pm.
We are thankful for his help as we understand that most hotel do not accommodate late check out ... we were lucky as the day we check out, the hotel was not at it full occupancy.
The hotel is quiet and the rooms are new, modern and well kept..
We slept well for our 8 days stay.

Some tips you may find it helpful;-

1. Snapshot the hotel location map so as to show cab driver in case you come in by cab.
Most cab driver do not speak English but most cab are equip with a GPS,which will help them to navigate to the hotel if u can show them the address in korean and the location map.
Telling them it is near Yeoksam-dong as cab driver will hv a rough idea where he should be heading.

2. We arrive at 10:30pm into incheon seoul airport . Airport bus and KAL regular services have terminated.but there is a late nite 11:30pm KAL service available, just get your bus ticket from the transportation information counter or from KAL counter.
ticket for KAL cost 16000krw.
The transport coordinator will advice u which is the nearest hotel stop to alight and you can hail a cab fm the street to your booked hotel. its abt another 6000 krw to our hotel...
That is a 50% saving for the 2 of us compare to takings cab directly from airport to hotel.

2. If you arrive icn airport early, you can catch a KAL bus to renaissance hotel... Hotel Grammos can be easily access if u cut thru renaissance hotel thru their elevator.
fm the back of Renaissance hotel ,u shd see a 7-11 and a cafe across the street, cross over, walk up the lane nearer to the cafe,50m up the lane , u shd see hotel grammos
OR
u can choose to walk up the street fm the bus stop where u alight, once u see a statue with some golden brown books , turn right, u will see a GS25 convenient store, then walk down the lane 30 m , you will see hotel grammos .

3. KAL bus time table is available at hotel grammos front desk if you need to know the departure time fm hotel to airport.

4. Prepared some tapes, newspapers or black plastic trash bag to cover up some vital areas in the shower and w.c room. Doors are available but the glass door are see- thru type, u may want to tape up some areas if u are friends and not couples or family.

5. If u forget your toothbrush, u can buy fm GS25 convenient store instead of buying fm hotel.
Except for toothbrush , the basic toiletries are provided..... And it's Elemis brand .

6.air-con control panel is the white panel on the wall near TV,think many guests mistook the black panel as a air-con control switch.

7. My suggestion to you, take a KAL bus to and fro airport unless u travel really light with a small suitcase cos the seoul subway usually require changing of different lines, it's difficult to lug your luggages up and down the staircase

8. You can ask for a subway map from Yeoksam station , bring a pen along, circle the places u intend to travel, it's easier to navigate your way around as u need to know when to change line.

9.if u go to lotte mart ( there is a big lotte mart @seoul station),
Be sure to bring your recycle bags or u can use the boxes provided FOC by lotte after u check-out
10. You can buy T-money card to travel by subway. The card has no expiry date.

We hv a very pleasant stay in hotel grammos as hotel is new, room is spacious and it's near subway.
It's easy to go anywhere using their subway. And subway is cheap.

Hope you enjoy seoul just like I do.

I have stayed two times here. Each time I was impressed.

PROS
-Very modern and extremely comfortable rooms
- Cool use of space in each floor for rooms.
- Awesome appliances come with each room
- THE BEST shower I have ever experienced (rain shower, or high pressure controls)
- Nice little breakfast buffet of mixed food styles
- Great location for a quiet homebase outside of the hustle of Seoul
- Um.. rooftop pool? Only several other places have this in the whole city
- Comfortable western style beds
- Huge Big Screen Flat Screen TVs
- Great service. Helped us with anything we needed

CONS
- It is hard to find. 100%. Use the Renaissance hotel as a taxi reference
- Rooms may be a bit small for 2 people if you do not upgrade
- Breakfast may be early for some
- Beds were on the small side

Bottomline: This place will exceed your expectations and serve as a great central point to go explore Seoul. It really is a hidden gem. They do the little things right, and nail the big things.

New & clean hotel along a minor road on a slope at Gangnam area. This hotel may not suit huge group tour as the minor road to the hotel is very narrow, allowing probably just 1 vehicle at a time. A huge tour coach might find it really challenging to turn into the minor road. Stopping outside the hotel might cause a jam for vehicles coming in.

Great service from counter staff, specifically Brian. We went to hotel early, before checked in time to leave our luggages. When we were back in our vehicle, he noticed there wasn't any bottled drink in the car, he offered 2 chilled bottled water to us. Nice! When we came back at night, he helped us (2 ladies) with one of our luggages up to our floor. He went up with us, complement with explanation on the usage of the elevator and the opening of the room door (stayed in 2 more different hotels in Seoul, this is the only one that provides such service). Nice!

Comfy bed that gave us restful sleep through the night. Thumbs up! Will be glad to stay more nights if possible.

We were one of the earliest for the breakfast, and the only two there as there wasn't any diner during our breakfast. The food wasn't quite ready when we were there at the start of the breakfast time, nevertheless, the food came pretty fast. It will be even better if the varieties of good can be more. We had got the full attention of the service staff. Prompt clearance of dishes after we completed each round of breakfast.

Thanks Grammos for the great stay :)

We've stayed there for 5 nights. When we first checked in, the hotel staff were very polite and were conversant in English. As there were 5 of us, we had to take 2 rooms; double room and another is a single + double bed room. The room that I had was a single and double bed. The room was big for the 3 of us. As we were on 201, there isn't any 'view' at all. The shower and toilet were in a box-like semi-transparent blue glass. We had the jacuzzi in our room too. Unlike other hotels, the shower, toilet and jacuzzi are the 'open-concept'. As there were 3 of us in the room, there were enough mirrors at the wash-up area (4 mirrors) for us. They provided ironing board, but without the iron. We had to call and request for it, which they brought it up to us promptly. The cleaning lady was also very polite as we bumped into her along the corridor at times. The reception staff were very ready to assist us with where we were wanted to go (Nami Island, etc), and provided directions to get to our destination. There was once where we just walked out of the lobby, and the staff came running behind us, asking us if we needed help in getting to our destination. On our last day, we asked how could we get to the airport, and they helped us in getting a cab for us.

The hotel is situated beside an entertainment building, and around the area, it seems to be bustling with activities. For ladies travelling alone will have to take note when returning to the hotel at night. There are a couple of 24 hours cafes nearby. Nearest subway station is Yeoksam. We did not have our breakfast in the hotel as it was not part of the package when we booked through booking.com, but it gave us the reason to venture out and try out places for food.

This was my first time in Korea. I stayed here for 10 days in August, attending a conference at the Coex. Boy did I luck out.

It's a small, but very cool boutique hotel down a steep side street near Yeoksam subway station. The guests are a mix of Koreans and westerners. All the staff (and pretty much everyone I met in Seoul) speak English perfectly well and are friendly and professional.

Reception is small but perfectly formed with couches, lovely chandeliers, a library, computer/printer, free expresso maching. My guest room was a vision in white, with a wet room containing the best shower I've ever had, splendid high-tech lighting, a good safe and a Japanese-style loo with heated seat and all the sprays and controls. The bed's hard (I think that's Korean-style) but I quickly got used to it and loved it. There was a desk (including brilliant android speaker dock - this is the land of Samsung) and also a couch. And a well-stocked minibar plus kettle etc. Oh, and great air con too.

One of the attractions of Grammos was the top floor pool and bar, the envy of all my friends/colleagues at this particular meeting. In the basement there's a restaurant that does a varied, reasonably priced buffet breakfast. I didn't try the lunch. Then, in the second basement there's a small but well-equipped gym and also a free laundry for the use of guests.

The neighbourhood is buzzing with myriad bars and restaurants. The first day I walked to the Coex. I'm a fast walker but it took 35 minutes and was more than a bit muggy. Then I discovered the subway which makes getting anywhere in Seoul cheap and easy - you can leave the hotel and be at the Coex in 15 minutes (just two stops on the green line 2). One stop in the other direction and you're in the centre of Gangnam. Or you can get into Seoul downtown in about 40 minutes on the underground.

I booked early and got a bargain, less than half the price of most of the conference hotels for a better venue (though that's perhaps because I like individual places rather than generic brand hotels). By the time the meeting started, apparently Grammos cost on a par with the Intercontinentals of this world, so do get in there quickly.

This review says "near perfect". There are three things to point out, but none is worth dropping a star - this really is well worth a 5 star review.
1) The coffee machine in the lobby doesn't have milk or sugar - surely easy to fix.
2) Very hard to fix, there's only one lift/elevator. The floors only have 6 rooms each. When I travel, unless I'm lugging my suitcases I always take the stairs in a vain attempt to keep fit, but I noticed people waiting on every floor in the mornings. There isn't room for more than one lift as far as I can see.
3) The hotel does not make full use of the gorgeous roof space, which was frustrating. They close the pool very early, at 7pm. I'm not sure why. And although they claim online that the bar area (all around the pool) is open till 10pm, the front desk claimed it was 9pm (both are way too early) and there was rarely anyone attending it after 7pm. It's a wonderfull space and potentially a massive selling point for the hotel. If they don't want to leave a member of staff up there, they should have a phone to ring down to the front desk to order drinks/snacks (easily installed).

Hopefully they'll fix 1 and 3, but even if they don't I had a fabulous stay and I'd recommend the Grammos to everyone.

Manager Brian Lee & his staff made our stay at the Grammos Hotel feel like we were home in Hawaii. From Check-in to Check-out everything was done with great service. Their communication skills were excellent. We had a great experience in Korea.

During our stay in Korea, we called Grammos home. We were always greeted with BIG, GENUINE SMILES from all the staff. The staff became like family right away. Their genuine concern for our happiness made us feel so comfortable.

Our room was clean, spacious, up to date, & the bed, wow the bed. The bed was so easy to fall asleep in. It helped us to recuperate from the day before. Don't know her name but our housekeeper for the 6th floor always kept our room clean. We will definitely tell our families and friends to visit Korea and stay at the Grammos hotel.

I wanna give a special shout out to Front Desk Host Elizabeth. During the last week of our stay she heard that I had a health issue. She always asked if my wife had eaten, even recommended a healthy place for her to eat. She always did her best to find answers to our questions. We always had a good laugh with her. The day we left to come back home to Hawaii she brought me ginseng hard candy. Something healthy for my body. Loved her Big Smiles always. Treated us like we were her own family. We also felt the same for her.
Never forget the chit chats with Chris, Peter, & Teddy. We had a great time.

And also shout out to housekeeper Lee Yong Ja👍

Also, we enjoyed the buffet. The restaurant staff was also amazing. Always helpful, greeting us with big smiles. Making sure we had everything we needed while dining. Always ready to make sure we had clean new plates whenever we went up for seconds. The food was also very nice.

We can't wait for our return.
