The room initially looked pretty awesome when i went inside- it was huge, and i can see a lot of effort being put into making this hotel look more modern. Some issues though- no full length mirror despite the large size of the room. Room also smelt funny, but maybe because it was newly built as another reviewer mentioned. Awesome Samsung TV and aircon.

However- lights were very very dim. I guess its romantic but it wasnt practical, i had difficulty reading and putting on makeup lol. Also realised later during my first day that a fair few light bulbs had probably burnt out and had not been replaced which attributed further to the dim lighting. Also noticed the marble? floor had skid marks on it...maybe from the previous customers shoes or luggage wheels. And there was dust and other random things on the floor suggesting that the floor had not had a good sweep or mop in a while. There was also no shower curtain! I cant stand this as my messy partner would constantly soak the entire bathroom and toilet with water when showering. I was constantly mopping up the water with our towels, cleaning is no fun when you are on holiday.

Furthermore, wifi just did not work in my room. It would connect but it would just not work on any of our devices. When we asked reception he said he was sorry, didnt know what to do about it, and that we can use wifi in the lobby. Honestly i didnt pay to have a room, just to stick around in the lobby. An essential part of why i choose a hotel over another, is the fact that it has reliable and free wifi. Wifi continued not to work for my entire 5 day stay, this was very frustrating, as i would always venture out to cafes instead of relaxing at he end of the night in my hotel.

There is no proper laundry service. When we asked reception they said to bring the laundry to them and that they would send it off for us. When we asked about pricing, he apologised and said that he didnt know! I know they are trying but they need to have these procedures figured out! When we got the laundry back, it had cost us $29AUD. This is a lot of money to us as we are budgeting and always used coin-operated laundry when we could which wouold only cost us about $4 AUD. If we had known we would not have bothered. We could have just bought new clothing as it was cheap in korea.

Otherwise location was amazing, in the Hongdae area, which was busy every night and had heaps of cheap and interesting food and shops, and just a nice atmosphere for us young adults. It may sound like i am nitpicking, but after all the other hotels i have stayed in, i guess im used to the luxury of hotels getting everything right, otherwise i just cant relax and enjoy myself. I would not recommend this hotel to friends as a result, maybe in a year or so this hotel would have worked everything out.

The hotel is a 5-min walk from the Hongik metro station in the Hongdae area (which never sleeps as young people seem to party all night long!). But the rooms are quiet. So the location is great.

Bed sheets are clean and beds are comfortable (not great). Breakfast buffet and wifi were included. For ~$70USD a night, it is very good value.

A few quibbles:
- shower: the temperature coming out of the shower head varied over a period of a few seconds (it can go from hot to luke warm and back to hot...).
- power outlets: are at inconvenient locations in the room
- the fur headboard

Great location at Hongdae. Behind it are loads of shops and restaurants. It's near Hongik University, which is famous for its arts, so within walking distance of the hotel are dozens and dozens of cafes, art shops, cosmetic shops, etc.

The room I stayed in was a double room. Very comfortable. No closets, though, so be prepared to live out of your suitcase. The bathroom had a huge tub and the toilet had one of those electric bidet things where you just push a button. I had to figure them out a bit.

The thing I and some of my companions didn't like, though, was that the windows in each room were so small and the room lights were few, so the room was a bit dark, even with all the lights on. It felt a bit creepy, so I kept some lights on at night.

I stayed here for 6 days for business and have to say that I was pretty disgusted. The hotel lobby is clean and the first impression is that you are staying in a decent hotel. After 5 minutes in the room you quickly find out what a dump this place is. The pictures posted tell the story.

Do yourself a favor ... Find a different hotel

Pros and cons of the hotel

Good
1. Convenient location : The hotel is located at Hongki. It is 6-8 mins walk from Hongki University station exit no.9 . There is a nice bakery store 'Tous Les Jours' next to the hotel on the right hand side. It provides cheap western bread and coffee. Good for breakfast.

2. Staff can speak English.
3. Samsung TV and air-con. The air-con is very cool.
4. There is a restaurant in ground floor though i didn't try.

Bad
1. The bed matrix is extremely hard. (maybe all Korean bed is very hard)
2. The pillow sometimes is stink.
3. The flushing system of toilet suddenly goes wrong and water flood out in the midnight.
4. No shower curtain.
5. The wifi is not available in my room. (but the other room has, as i had booked two rooms)
6. Lamp doesnt work in one room.
7. Strong cement smell since the hotel was built last year.

we found hair in our bed, and not the kind that is on your head. not once, not twice, but in 6 different rooms. we got told after the first 2 rooms to wait and the front desk clerk will go and find one that is "better". Him and i took the elevator up to my floor i and i noticed that he had some of that lint tape with him as he went to go look at some rooms for us. well that right there was to far.

BAD'S

-The rooms have no place to hang your clothes.
-It has a double door in the front to block the sound from leaving the room (love motel style)
-Bed is super hard. no pillow top or any thing and the sheets are 150 count sand paper.
-Bathroom looks nice but smells like cocking, and made for easy clean up after a night of "fun"
-If you have room on the inside your widow is facing the hall ways from all the other floors. so you have to keep it closed unless you like every one seeing what you are doing in your room.
-It has the look of brand new hotel, but is a "love motel" from top to bottom.
- the parking elevator sounds can be heard in any room on the east side of the building. AKA the best side.

GOOD'S

-Free parking
-Great location, subway is less then a 5 min walk. Hongdae area is 5 min walk be hide the hotel.
-shopping is walking distance around the hotel
-Price..... i got mine for $70 USD total for a Thursday night.

If you are looking for a cheap place in a good location. this might be the spot. but if you look around a bit more you can find a few more places that are REAL Hotels for about $15 more. they did offer to give us a refund but we turned it down. either way i will never stay at this place again. the 3 hours we spent and the 4 different room changes was not worth the time and effort we lost in trying to find a room that was sprayed with air cleaner and remade the bed.

This hotel is located conveniently in Hongdae area where you can find shops, restaurants, bars and many others. The crowd here are young and energetic so expect a vibrant and lively area when you are in Hongdae. The advantage of staying in this hotel is that everything is just a walk away.

I was allocated the room 319 and I was disappointed with the cleanliness and the interior of the room. The grout in between the floor tiles were dirty throughout the room. The bed was still considered a little comfortable but the bedsheet and quilt cover was just dirty. There is a crack at the foot of the bathtub.

The only way to have a shower is in the bathtub but the holder for the handshower is in such a way that if I leave the handshower in the holder on the wall, it will just keep spraying water all over the wall and floor, making the bathroom wet on the floor.

Very bad sleep. Noise from aircon is very loud and turns off and on constantly at night. There's a closet looking thing in the room but when opened its full of electrical wires, machinery etc. The door isn't even locked. Very dangerous if you have young kids. Speaking of electricity, I got electric shocked when using charging point annd so did my friend who stayed om another floor so poor construction all throughoit hotel. Very dirty floors in hotel room, not vacuumed for ages. Shower has no doorr so when shoeering the wqter goes all over toilet and sink. Hallways reek of paint. If anything, good location, the wifi is fecrnt and heated floors are a plus, though dirty floors detract from it.bad stay. Very disappointed.

Bathroom has no shower curtains so expect it to get really wet. The jacuzzi was nice. Only one small window and not enough lighting so the room is dark day and night time. You get what you pay for at the end of the day. If you want to experience what its like in North Korea, check in here.

Ok location, close to train station and some shopping. Suited to tour groups. Staff helpful but not so knowledgeable about the local area. Complimentary breakfast is basically a plate that is preprepared and dumped down in front of you, fortunately there are plenty of cafes and other options in the area. Rooms are clean, tidy and fairly spacious

You'll need to ask the hotel directly. Space looked to be at a premium so I would suggest not. If you are catching the HSR to Busan, there are more likey to be storage facilities at Seoul Station.
Answer from kylerjalen

Not really "storage" as they just tagged and left the luggage out by the front desk but yes, you can leave your luggage if you arrive before check in time.

You can walk. It only takes a couple of minutes to get from the station to the hotel.

If the market to which you refer is the one I think it is..., not too far, bus or taxi should do the job, not that expensive (by taxi that is). I was part of a group being moved about by coach, but if I recall correctly not that difficult to reach. On that day there was a huge demonstration in Seoul, over the Sewol ferry disaster, and traffic was badly disrupted. Hope that helps. Regards.
