STAY FAR AWAY! THE WORST! I never write reviews, but made an account just for this. The owner, David, is unfriendly, rude, and terrible. The room is tiny, dirty, and freezing. It was the dead of winter, and no heat! We entered the room and immediately walked back out. He didn't even give us a refund. We still left though...

Visited this hostel when it was under Kwon's administration. 1) He asked for my natonality and then said that advertised price rooms were unavailable, you must pay extra 2) After you pay they ask you to pay hidden fees for their room service 3) Central air-condition never worked except for times when they showed their rooms to new customers. The...

I booked this room because I was looking for a very cheap accomodation option in Gangnam, and Morning Guesthouse Gangnam delivers exactly that : it's cheap, and fairly well located in Gangnam (although you do need 10 minutes or so to reach either Gangnam or Yeoksam Station). But with low price came all the drawbacks : it was a bit...

The Morning Guesthouse is on the 3/F of a commercial building and not easy to find for non-Korean speakers. The police man who I asked for directions said it's not a suitable guest house for foreigners. There was nobody at the reception and you need to call a number for someone to let you in.The two floors are divided into...

Staying in Gangnam / Nonhyeon / Yeoksam

    Neighbourhood Profile
    Gangnam / Nonhyeon / Yeoksam
If you thought business and fun couldn’t mix, look no further than urban Gangnam and the nearby neighborhoods. On the surface, Gangnam comes off as a strictly business district with a plethora of high-rise office buildings jutting into the sky and the steady streams of office workers bustling about. But interlaced within are a string of shops, restaurants, bars, and other spots for entertainment. If Myeongdong is the generic meet-up and hangout spot north of the Han River, Gangnam is its answer for those on the south side. As evening comes, Gangnam comes alive with its countless neon lights attracting hordes of office workers, friends, and couples for food, drinks, perhaps a bit of singing at a noraebang, and more drinks. And the smattering of clubs around also draws plenty of folks looking to unwind and show off their moves on the dance floor. On weekends, the crowds gets bigger, the energy buzzes to a seemingly nonstop high, and Gangnam makes it clear why so many call Seoul the city that never sleeps.
