Jin Palace was by far the worst place I ever stayed when it comes to cleanliness Room was obviously not clean between the last guest and us. Floor was fealty, full of hairs Bed didn’t have bed sheets, and besides hairs from previous guests it had insect blood stain, just as it someone has crushed mosquitos against the material- disgusting....

We had a long stop over and wanted to see Seoul. We stayed here. He gave great advice and the hostel was well kitted out. The bunk beds were ok, but overall I have to recommend this place. There is also a chill out area upstairs on the roof which looks to be cool in the summer.

With eclectic furnishings, an accessible host and an incredible view, Jin's Paradise easily stands head and shoulders above any other hostel that I have visited in the past. Right at the heart of the action, Jin's is arranged in a neighborhood of bars and restaurants that is a convenient walk from many of Seoul's most noteworthy neighborhoods. I had the...

Being the cheapest Hostel I found in Seoul for my weekend trip from Tokyo, I was a bit unsure about what to expect. However, I was not disappointed and I met a bunch of great people there. Jin is super helpful and he will be happy to help you make your stay in Seoul an amazing experience. He took some...

This was the first guest-house I stayed in, when I came to Seoul and it was by far the best! Since then, every time I went to Seoul I stayed at Jin´s and it always felt like home. Jin and his sister Jen are the best hosts and they treat everyone like their best friend. There is always something going...

cons: cold rooms in December and smelly beds. Filthy bathroom. The owner is a bit annoying because he is there almost always and tries to become best friends with everyone. Walking up and down the hill from the main street to the hostel can be challenging. a bit expensive. pros: you can meet a lot of people and chat. there...

I stayed in "JinPa" for 3 weeks in summer 2013. As a girl, who traveled solo, I'd spent a lot of time choosing a right guesthouse. And my choice was the best. It's located in Itaewon with various shops, bars and restaurants nearby. It takes only 5mins by walk go nearest subway station and 15-20mins to well-known "Banpo bridge" and...

Jin's Paradise was by far the best Hostel we stayed at on our entire 7 week trip around Asia! It has a fantastic atmosphere, Jin and Jen are great hosts and super fun and helpful, really relaxed and chilled common areas, there was even a ukulele! It's located in Itaewon which is the international part of Seoul, so plenty of...

During my 2 weeks in South Korea, I stayed in very different kinds of guesthouses but this one is so friendly and easy going that it feels like your couchsurfing at Jin's house. Of course he knows every stuff to get you entertained at every time of the day/night in the city but you can also chill out with him...

I've stayed twice at Jin's paradise (a week each time), and I'd like to say that staying here is one of the most unique experiences I've had, and I've stayed in every level of hotel from hostels, to 3 stars, to the Ritz Carlton. Jin's obviously is a very affordable alternative to hotels but its not just that... its the...

Staying in Itaewon

Neighbourhood Profile
Itaewon
Neighboring the immense Yongsan American Garrison, Itaewon was once shunned by locals as a seedy, red light district. But within the past few years, Itaewon and its surrounding neighborhoods such as Kyunglidan and Haebangchong have undergone a major revival to quickly become one of Seoul’s hottest areas. Here, trendy international restaurants dot the area alongside hip lounge bars and some of Seoul’s hottest club venues. After dark, Itaewon comes into its own as one of Seoul’s top party scenes. The crowd is a fascinating patchwork of all backgrounds and identities, including a small but thriving Muslim community (centered on Korea’s sole mosque), the LGBT community (with a string of popular bars and clubs), and a wide range of ethnicities and cultures scattered around. Those seeking a quiet respite should head towards the eastern end, in Hannam-dong, which not only has one of Korea’s best art museums, the Leeum Samsung Museum of Art, but plenty of mid-range to upscale restaurants and cafes.
